Thank you CarlySue. I love that area which that lighthouse is located at, I grew up there and transplanted to Southwestern PA.

I still love getting back up there when I can.

Brent, I love, however I would love to see the before and after if you have it. I like seeing the 0 ex to the finished product.

Just my thought.

Hi I am quite new to the hog and I have found myself getting more and more interested by HDR photography. Some people think this is a step too far and is not really photography at all. What do you guys think ? Am I diminishing my skills by perusing this type of photography. Thanks for your thoughts

Mr T, sir:
Great question.
I thought I would send you this link of a photo I up linked on the UHH of a before and after photo of a covered bridge in the county I live in.

I believe that there is no way one could get the results of that photo without HDRing it. As you can see the results are a wider range of exposures than a camera can normally see. This in my opinion is a great use of HDR.

Please let me know what you think.

Thank you

Jeep daddy, thank you. I've been holding on to that picture and just noticed the HDR forum and knew I had to show it. I hear so much on how so many don't like HDR and I believe that there are times when HDR can be so beneficial to telling the story.
