Great looking pack. How did you manage to get them to sit still? My boys rarely sit still together. My avatar is "Buddy" a rescue like the rest of the pack.
Wonderful shot, You are never to old to play Peek A Boo!

Oh to be able to stretch like that again.
I have two outside dogs (they love the snow) and it's been in the single digits here in WV the past few days. Both have heavy undercoats and fluffy top coats. Heated water bowls insulated and well strawed doghouses. Keeping this in mind they are always pulling the straw out of their boxes mounding it up and sleeping in the pile of straw on top of the snow. They only retreat to their boxes when it gets to windy.

Smoking OP's one of Bob Seger's earlier albums.
Thanks for starting my day with a heart laugh!
OPS= Original Poster Senior. I too resemble that remark LOL
Lions fan here, they still don't have a ring. I know how Cubs fans felt all those years. Still waiting!
Years ago during my film days I used an egg as the subject to learn studio lighting. Start with a single light, then ad a light modifier such as a bounce card . From there is is easy to add one light at a time and experiment with different types of light modifiers. Back then it was slow and tedious work because it was film. Now days it is much less time consuming because we now have instant feed back. The trick is to explore what one light will do, vary distance and power output and angle of light. Then slowly build up from there. It takes time but you will learn to see the light and it's effects on the subject, and then you can apply that knowledge in future shoots. It worked well for me though I rarely shoot any studio type lighting anymore. I primarily like to shoot nature and wildlife these days. Have fun learning and post some pics in the future for us to see.
I use Manual plus Auto ISO when shooting BIF. The 7DII also allows me to use EC in this mode which comes in handy when photographing birds against the sky. I also use spot metering and single point focus in AI Servo mode. I will also use this set up for wildlife depending on current conditions.
I like #2, your post work skills are excellent. I'm still learning.
Beautiful work. You essentially have two images in one and both are great. #1 which is the original and if you crop a little #2 with the fungi and tree without the geese. Hard to get a 2 for 1 but you have done excellent work here, thanks for sharing.
Excellent image and advice. I might add that one should also look up/down/right/ and left. Wouldn't want to miss any opportunities for pics.
Actually they do. Just got my new statement of benefits from SS. They deduct $135.50 out of every check I will receive in the coming year, but I did get a whopping 2.8% increase in my basic benefit. It works out to 0.034375 cents/per hour raise if I was working a typical 40 hour week.
