Nice job. I don't remember Chico looking that picturesque. My recent Bovine shot. They were waiting to jump over the moon, as soon as the cat and the fiddle arrived. I found it a Moooo-ving sunset

Cows jump over lupines too 😁

Oh, good, it's not just me. I can't see the cows. Where are they? The white of the forward flowers are what has my attention.

Lupines

I was shooting this image when these cows began to cross the creek in my composition, I attempted to hurrry them along by waving my arms and gesturing, but they just stopped and looked at me, only when I ignored them did they continue to across.
Though with a 15 stop ND filter and a six minute exposure they are not even visible.

I miss aspects of shooting film especially medium and large formats, although digital allows me to take a image further and photograph things that are not possible with film.

My D300 is long in the tooth and the new cameras have better focusing and higher ISO and other features. I'm looking at these two and would welcome comments from folks familiar with them. I shoot 99% in studio w/ studio strobes. (But might ease into non-strobe because of high ISO capability with the new camera). Headshots, full length swimsuits, nudes. Almost never shoot still lifes but am good at them. Do not shoot sports or fast movement.

Looking forward to hearing from you all.

For me a new upgrade is always dependent on the lenses

Lots of places on Mount Desert Island in Maine, Valley Forge Park, and a few places in Florida.

Sounds very interesting!

Either one of these shots alone is great--especially the nighttime shot. Together, however, they are magnificent.

That is very kind of you to say!

I enjoy catching the different personalities of a composition.
Do you ever go back to a spot over and over through out the years?

I decided to enlarge the moon in its original spot.
I was trying to get my bearings here never been before but it was absolutely gorgeous.
Styled my way through a million selfies takers and my frozen feet to get these.
So worth it ! The ice and snow falling from El Capitan sounded like thunder.
