HarryO- It must have good bones because it has been there probably a hundred years or more!
Thank you, everyone for your kind comments.
Thanks, everyone for your compliments!
Thanks, everyone for your kind comments.
It was a touching moment for me.
I wanted to be respectful, and kept my distance,
and used a non-intrusive point and shoot.
You mention the ravine.
I was with two former soldiers on this expedition; they both have PTSD.
Both of them had a creepy feeling as we made our way up the ravine.
They said it was the perfect location for an ambush,
and it seemed like they were keeping one eye on the hillsides
looking for snipers.
I like his dirty torn hat in the midst of a crowd that were well-dressed.
Of all the photos I took in Israel, this one was my favourite.
A few years ago my wife and I spent several weeks traveling around Israel.
This photo was taken with a Fuji point and shoot camera
at the Western Wall (sometimes called "The Wailing Wall") in Jerusalem.
It is all that is left of the Temple area that was destroyed
by the Roman Empire in AD 70.
The little pieces of folded paper tucked into every nook and cranny
have prayers written on them.
I imagine this old house could tell a lot of stories if it could talk!
Thanks, everyone!
14kphotog- that is interesting that you saw a stream so similar.
This one is in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada.
Thanks, Katvdid- it is a beautiful place.
We were a bit disappointed that it was still frozen up.
The only water visible was the small waterfall in the foreground,
as Spring arrives, there will be a magnificent tumbling stream
in the foreground.
We're supposed to get freezing rain tonight!
Are you just at the beginning of "autumn" in Australia?
