I often shoot in low light and had trouble finding my Lowepro flipside zippers. I recently stuck some yellow anti slip tape on my back steps and this lead me to try some on my camera bag zippers. Now my zippers are a lot easier see and feel. I found this at PetaPixel: https://petapixel.com/2016/06/22/quick-tip-upgrade-camera-bag-zippers-just-bucks/
I’ve been a professional landscape photographer for over three decades. What excites me the most about photography is that it gets me out into nature where I can create memorable images while confronting the challenges that are out of my control.
Open the layers and check to see if you have the base layer selected. If there is more than one layer you must be on the base for the text tool to work. Also select the text color with the swatch that is on top.
I recommend Everweb. There hosting is very reasonably priced and they have lots of excellent training videos. Check out my site. If I can build a website so can you. https://www.everwebapp.com/
Your BenQ monitor is compatible with the older Pallete Master Elements software but not the newer Palette Master Ultimate. I calibrate my SW2700 with a Spyder X Pro without any problems and I could even do it with my older Spyder 4 but it was very slow.
I guess we'll just have to vote with our wallets then. Don't buy or 'upgrade' into a rental software arrangement. Find a product you can purchase and be done with it. There are PLENTY such out there!
I recommend trying an XP-PEN because it's an inexpensive way to see if you can handle using a graphics tablet for photo editing. I have one but only use it for blending with the brush tool. IMO a tablet with a smaller area is much better for photo editing.
