This was taken not at the ideal time of day, midday but the muted colors so capture the sage brush around here. Shot with Fujifilm X-T2 and 56mm. Always open to critical feedback

There's a lot that's actually in that photo. Keep studying post processing and you'll start to get it. Here's what I found in it. Keep working!

This isn't the photo I put up for editing - but it's close enough.

There's lots of drama in the sky, but I'm also seeing one or two artefacts. But overall the editing has brought out the dramatic lighting.

My error if it was different. I did think it was the same as a day or so ago. I'll go back (if I can) to compare them. But they were fine shots... both of them

Having got the shots I wanted from my outing I found I had this left over and decided to put it up for editing. Feel free to edit it in any way you think fit. And don't forget to share your results.
(JPG and TIFF).

Here is my effort. I tried to make it a bit more dramatic... especially pullingout the sky. Too many little things to enumerate.

The original was a very good shot... leaving a lot of possibilities.

They have done enough harm. We don’t need pictures of them.

Okay. I was never on the bay side... that I can remember.

I remember the beautiful sand and the long, long walk from parking to the beach.

Thanks

I miscaptioned this set. they were actually taken from The Long Beach Fishing Pier.

Yeah. I didn't remember a fishing pier at Jones Beach... at least when I was a kid in the 1940s.

I grew up going to Jones Beach... coming down from Great Neck. The best sand anywhere.

I was disappointed that I didn't see pictures of Jones Beach.

Quite frankly, I don't think that you need the person in the pic. Cropping out the person... as long as you still see the leash attached to the dog... to me, gives the same feeling about what it's all about... and perhaps a better feeling. I think that it is warmer without legs!

That's my feeling.

Photos that are "hot-linked" from Flickr or elsewhere don't appear in Newest Pictures. Otherwise, yes, all photos that are uploaded to UHH appear in Newest Pictures, although that only goes back so far - the oldest image there right now was uploaded just 2 days ago. Nothing before that appears (as far as I can see.)

You're right. The 'newest pictures" has 20-or-so pages, which go back a couple-or-so days. But they're all there for that time frame. Better than just 35.

I have learned... as Linda wrote... that the best way to view the photo gallery is to click on "newest pictures". They are all there. If you post a picture(s) expecting to see them on the Photo Gallery the next day... it's a crap shoot. They may be there and they may not be there. I once suggested to ADMIN to make a note on the Photo Gallery section which would explain that only 35 are selected... but all would be on "latest pictures. But nothing came of that.

That's the story on that.

I have a Canon all-purpose MX 9200 series printer. For the past year or so i have been getting my ink from 4ikjets... on line. I have been very pleased with that decision. No problems at all. It seems to me that they are lasting longer for me. “Seems”... not scientific. Now understand that I use it for general printing. I don’t print my photography. For what it’s worth.

Can’t talk about paper.
