Part of my Oriole series. They're a pretty bird, but rather destructive.

Another I’ve never seen! Such a pretty bird.

It's a common Baltimore Oriole. They love grape jelly and oranges, for which I don't provide, so they terrorize my hummingbirds and destroy their feeders. At least that's what the do here...

Here's one I captured just a few minutes ago. It's eyeing one of the hummingbird feeders in my front yard, and waiting for me to leave....

We have robins nesting in our "lean to" of the barn. I'd always hoped to one day gets some shots of them. I sat for an hour waiting for Momma to fly in (I thought I was a fair distance away). I got so I could hear her calls and eventually I think she is getting used to my sitting at the other end. I'll likely overload you with Momma and Babies (there are 3) And I don't know why there are the "step" nests - condo, apartments, attempts get a straight nest on a slanted beam?

Well, it looks like the wait was well worth it! BTW, that's the most interesting nest I've ever seen. And momma with plenty of worms for the brood.

Hello All,
Thank you ETmom for hosting one of my favorite subjects. It's been a while since I've popped in to visit this awesome site. I hope all is well with the friends I've made over the years here.
Now on topic.... Capturing birds is my favorite photo challenge. The first picture is the bird that started my desire for photography. The second hummer picture was an absolute accident. We both were caught in a torrential rain storm. We took cover on a porch.
I'll have many more birds to share later.

With the Pandemic and stay at home orders, I've found that watching the birds visit my yard has been somewhat of a relief. If you like to photograph birds in your yard, then this challenge is for you! Can you identify your visitors?

Small Woodpecker. I'm not sure which species.

Maybe a Red Tailed Hawk

I thought this guy followed me around the golf course today. Never saw so many squirrels today.

Funny you should say that Rufe. I noticed the same thing yesterday walking around my place.
