This video was shown on TED Talks in 2015.
I am amazed Bill Gates was so accurate. This is a video that has scary statistics that I never knew regarding how many people died, worldwide, in 1918.

Some people see things other people won't. Unfortunately, we did not listen and follow through with the necessary action.

I'm not able to post the link properly but this is the address the TED web site gave me.

Gentlemen may I kindly ask you wtf you are doing in a public bathroom?
You are supposed to be at home keeping away from people who are likely infected.

If you are following the rules, hand dryers are not a problem.

Blackest, you bring up a good point and the answer is 'it depends on where you live'. Here in the country with little heavy population density it is very easy to keep at least 2 meters away from others. I find people also keep that far away from me as a matter of basic courtesy.

Unfortunately, when I am forced to use a public restroom, due to having prostrate cancer about 15 years ago and the radiation caused my bladder to lose its flexibility. The need to use the bathroom comes upon me suddenly and in a very painful way.

Something i never thought I'd ever have to explain but it may help you understand why some people still go about their limited activities if it does not affect anyone else.

Yes, those driers are notorious for being dirty. I never use them. A quick wipe on my dungarees gets my hands somewhat dry.

When I exit the men's room, I stand still and swing my arms like a windmill for a few minutes. That dries my hands and keeps people away.

Maybe I can stand near you Jerry and get the benefit of the air your arms are moving?? Naw, thinking about that, it wouldn't work, I'd violate the social separation distances!

Also, the more I consider the dirty air being circulated by those driers, it makes me wonder if a person who is sick, coughs or sneezes near them, then the drier becomes another device to spread germs far and wide.
I'd rather stores plumb those driers to outside air and stop recirculating dirty air.
In fact, I believe they should unplug the existing air driers until it's proven to not spread viruses.

We are continually being exposed to the many dangers in our environment that allows the Corona/crap virus to exist and affect almost everyone.

Many of the things I am being told to watch out for seem to be questionable.

That is, except for washing correctly, social distancing, and avoiding touching almost everything unless we wear protective gear. These are all good ideas.

About a year ago, I read an article that bathrooms in most commercial buildings, stores, etc. has the dirtiest air of any room!
Then the article went on to say that all of the hand air driers do not bring in air from outside the bathroom but instead have a grill underneath that recirculates this dirty air and blows it onto our hands.

After reading that article, I stopped using those air driers. Unfortunately, they seem to be the only item available in most newer commercial bathrooms for hand drying.

I wonder if this isn't another group of supposed explanations that are bogus?
As an example, 25C converts to 77F.
Thats not hot, so how can it melt any fat? If one, supposed fact is wrong, then I suspect all are bogus!!

I use two fingers on my Mac pad and spread them which enlarges your cartoons. Never need to use the download function.
I enjoy the ones you send!

[quote=AirWalter]Thought some of you would be interested in the equipment used. This guy isn't very professional or this video
would have been much better.

I disagree.
Truly enjoyed seeing these aircraft in super slow motion. I've been in the A/C field for 60 years and participated in most of the national and international airshows but saw some things I'd never seen before. Just great to watch!!!

One thing I learned about opossums is that half their body length is very sharp teeth. They are cute at a distance, but they are not to be toyed with.

Had the same thing happen to me when I heard a commotion from our barn. It seems a possum had gotten in thru the cat door and after killing a chicken, was eating it in a corner when I investigated the noise. You are right, when they show their teeth you realize how big a mouth they have. A bullet took care of my problem!!

The Family Circle comic has been around for sixty years, and they haven't aged a day. Remember Gasoline Alley? The characters in that one aged, and as I kept going back to read it, I didn't know who was who.

Jerry,
I believe spell check got to your post!
Isn't it The Family Circus??

It's hard to catch all the wrong corrections 'spell check makes'!!

There're always those who spoil it for the others. Why not just say "I get it" and let others have the fun of deliberating. I got it but wasn't going to post a "spoiler".

I didn't get 'it' so I appreciated the explanation. Why think it was a spoiler for others?

I found Zion lacking and yet I've seen the most beautiful images come from there. The number of tourists, amount of traffic and lack of parking and accessibility was overwhelming. I couldn't wait to get out of there. And I don't have any plans to go back unless it is off season.

My experience too!

You have received many good suggestions about the Oregon coast and here are my 2 cents:

First of all Harris Beach is a nice campground to stay for a couple of days. It is fairly far south so a good place to start. I noticed you implied you were going to travel from North to South on the coast. Either direction is fine but my opinion is all of the waysides will then be on your right as your driving and sometimes I can attest the signs are small when trying to locate some sightseeing pullouts. Being on 101 driving North gives you a better chance of seeing each pullout and stopping. To explain further, some of the most interesting places on the coast can be reached from small pullouts (maybe 10 cars) where you have to hike down to the beach. You'll never know how picturesque these sites are as you can't see them from the bluffs.

There is a list; (Oregon State Parks on Wikipedia), that is a very good website and it gives some information of each site. In my wife opinion (she's from Gold Beach, Oregon) the south and central coast are the nicest places to see.
If you look at the site I mentioned above you can select the south or central coasts for a list of waysides and camping sites.
One thing to be very aware of are 'sneaker waves' when you go to the beaches. I almost lost a son and grandson when they turned their back on the ocean and a sneaker wave almost got them. Ask people who live in the area you're planning on visiting where to be extra careful when near the ocean. The main thought is, NEVER turn your back on the ocean in certain areas.
If you want to ask anything specific about any place on the south coast, just let me know and also the dates when your planning on visiting.
