Then you can bend the pins removing and inserting the adapter just like a CF card if I’m understanding you correctly.

I could, but I haven't yet. Nor on my old E-3 or my Lumix L1, not that I ever use those two these days.

Do you have to remove the adapter to take out the SD card?

Yes.

My new (to me) camera has two card slots, a SD and a CF. I need to get a new bigger card and I was wondering what differences there are between the two besides the obvious external differences.

My windows 7 computer has a SD slot but not one for a CF. I know a patch cord can be used but my experience is that the downloading process really slows down.

Any suggestions from you folks that know? Thanks!

I have an Olympus E-30 that has CF and xD Picture Card slots. I don't have any xD cards but I do use a CF Adapter in which I insert a SD card. So I don't need to invest in more CF cards and I can insert the SD card in the computer to xfer the contents. Problem solved!

You remind me of a man.
What man?
The man with the power.
What power?
The power of hoo-doo.
Hoo-doo?
You do!
Do what?
You remind me of a man!

In Jacques Tati's 1971 film "Trafic" there is a visual pun of mistakenly using a fluffy dog as a chamois to clean the car. Not a great one but if you like the Mr. Hulot films this one is worth seeing.

I do't know how good those inexpensive adaptors are. The Oly MMF-3 works well as does the Panasonic DMW-MA1 but they are a bit pricey now. They were a lot less expensive when M4/3 was a new format. Actually, for a while Olympus was giving them away with a new EM1!

You have an iMac with 8GB of RAM which is 2 4GB chips. The 27" iMac has 4 RAM slots so you can just leave the 2 - 4GB chips there and add 2 - 16GB chips and end up with 40GB of RAM just like the one I am trying on right now. It works great.

And as the other user said go to Other World Computing, macsales.com and they are great and even have live, human phone technical support if you need it.

Good luck

Brian

I did the same thing, bought two 16GB chips from OWC and put them in the two available slots. They have been working flawlessly in my late 2015 27 inch Mac since I bought it new many years ago.

Check to see that your m4/3 body will autofocus 4/3 lenses. My EM1 Mk3 will but my Pen-F will not. I just read that the EM1 will use phase detection with 4/3 lenses so you should be good to go!

I have used 4/3 lenses on m4/3 bodies with that adapter. There are no problems although the 4/3 lenses do tend to be heavy. What is good about using that adapter is if you have any other legacy lenses that you can use in manual mode you can get inexpensive, and more compact, adapters for those lenses to 4/3 and mount that combination on your 4/3 to m4/3. I have some Contax/Yashica lenses with 4/3 adapters that I can use with the m4/3 Oly adapter on my m4/3 bodies. BTW, the Lumix/Leica 4/3 lenses are quite good!

If you test positive, in many cases a doctor will not see you because he or she does not want you in their waiting room infecting others. You will be told to go to an ER. At an ER they will not give you Ivermectin but they will treat you with proven remedies, for free. Those who insist on taking Ivermectin probably will get it late in the progress of their illness so it may not have much effect, if any.

From my recent experience, if you test positive and have symptoms go to an emergency room. If you meet the criteria, (age and condition,) they might give you a monoclonal infusion. I tested negative and was free of symptoms in two days.

Long ago I learned the order of frequency in English as this: ETAOINSHRDLU (say “eta-owen-sherdlu” to yourself to keep it in mind). Works for Wordle and especially for “Wheel of Fortune.”

I've always heard it pronounced, as a name, Eton Sherdlu. In the days when there were many newspapers here in NYC most people were aware of it.

For Wordle I start with AUDIO and then, if needed, PESTY. Sometimes I use ADIEU and STORY.

I remember in the 1950s the talk of having Chickenpox parties. I never had it, nor the Mumps. A few years ago my wife's brother came down with Shingles so I asked our doctor to test us. It seemed like a good idea since my brother-in-law was raised in the same household as my wife, although she said she never had Chickenpox. We both tested positive! I must have gotten a dose from some kid in the classroom in the 1950s but never knew it. So we both got the Shingles shots.

Thanks, I will try this today! Can you transfer the whole thing at once or do you have to do individual files?

When you plug in the card it should show up on your Mac Desktop as an icon of a card called "Untitled." Click on it to open and find your jpegs which will be in a Finder Window. Open your destination folder in another Finder Window (Command N) and copy the files to it by first highlighting the entire list of files and then dragging them over.
