I like the 3rd picture best. Great shot with the patterns in the water behind.

Thanks Dennis, the B&W brought out the ripples more so I went with it.

Looks great, Dan. Is that tree infrared?
Thanks John, it's not infrared. It's converted to B&W and I tweaked the exposure some and used a red filter.

Pierre,
I'm flattered by your comments and completely agree with your philosophy about photography. You wouldn't teach a child to learn by criticizing. You use positive reinforcement. Why people think that changes when we're adults is beyond me. Thank you again for your friendship and support. I appreciate it.

"I joined UHH to learn how to take better pictures. I've learned from everything I've seen and read but there are a few photographers who have had an enormous influence on me. The man at the top of that list is Graham Smith.
I've been photographing people and places for the last fifty years but the people have primarily been family and friends. I decided to learn more about street photography and selected Graham's work to guide me.
I plan to continue photographing places but now plan to add pictures of people I don't know to the mix. I'll continue to work in color as I usually do but have attached a B&W photo today. It's my way of paying tribute to Graham.
John"
John don't take my early suggestions as criticizing your work! I just thought, since you were adding something new I would point out some stuff. As far as post processing, I know it's a pain in the butt, but sometimes it's a necessary evil.

Why don't you take the hat off, Dear. No one will notice you haven't been to the hairdresser.
John, it has nothing to do with the weather or bad hair, she's one of those UHH member in hiding! As far as the photo, the way it stands right now, the composition is not working for me. I would think about losing the basket and chair, I would dodge the white haired womans head to show more detail, and maybe burn the other womans face just a tad. Hey that's just me, I could be all wet.

Graham, masterful piece, with the ghostly reflection in the window. The whole composition is powerful and thought provoking! Well done, you should be proud. Bobs your Uncle.
Thanks for inspiring
