Did you have anything going on at the time that looked as if you could believe it wasn't you? I'm extremely careful, and
never in a hurry when going to pm msg. mode, and when deleting rather than sending, it should have deleted! My Q now
is ....we know, when sending pm that admin. can review it. But does a user/mgr of a forum see it also and intercept it
and the hedgehog himself NOT get it??? Think back about the circumstances under which this happened as too whether
anything significant was goiong on behind the scenes. There certainly were some things going on in my case! Actually had
uncovered something the user/mgr wouldn't want me to see!!!!!!!

I was thinking of the great Irish philosopher who originated "Anything that can go wrong will."
You will know you are really in trouble if his buddy O'Toole joins in "Murphy is an optimist."

I've been saying EXACTLY that!! Oh sure, and our Murphy has been preaching love, love, all the world needs now
is love sweet love, but harassing me for months in pm msgs....or e.g. speak with forked tongue ? "Who needs
enemies when y'have friends like that"
No great disaster to be let out of a deteriorating sub-forum except it's a bit disappointing that some people who know
me, know that I joined UH in Sept. 2011, been in this section since the day it opened, but would treat me as if I didn't
know how to load a picture! McVeed, shame on you buddy! And of course there's the one who darned well knows me
and chattered with irrelevant instructions as to how-to!!
Does anyone know Mr. Didereaux who seemed to be the spark that set the fire? I do believe admin.can get to the
bottom of all this foolishness when sorting through it, so came back to say it's a nice sunny day, we should enjoy, and
I'm outta here for awhile for a much needed breath of fresh air!

Are you people sure that you aren't also dealing with Murphy in this case?

The user/mgr's name for the FYC section is St3v3M, that is Steve Murphy!! Any connection??

Actually, Jenny, Steve didn't actually ignore my entry, he rejected it on a whim based on a silly, irrational technicality. My entry was not 'great art' but it met the stated focus of the contest. My guess is he had already 'chosen' the winner well before the contest was due to end. No matter, I survived.

Yes, I have noticed quick to draw some conclusion from something not thought about it seems.

I just accidentally landed in a personal conversation and identified with having sent out what was supposed to be a PM. If it's a good one,it would be like a cat trying to bury doo-doo on an asphalt driveway! If it's too late,we'll get over that too!

Thank you Dave! Monsieur Xeno is too intelligent and innocent to do such things. I was actually in the middle of the pm msg when it was snatched and
the intended recipient's name deleted! I saw, in this pm format th heading that it was going to the main section and attempted therefore to delete it
but it seemed it had already gone here anyway. There is only ONE logical explanation, and that would be electronic snafu, so suppose "anything is possible".
.....EXCEPT deleting the recipient's name?

When you made this post you could have still edited the original and changed it. I believe that you have an hour to edit.

Righto Dave, one just has to BE there to realize an hour has passed if doing else, or simply declining because of a need to look into why it went that
way anyway. Would you think I was simply being "obstinate" or something? There's a whole history about either misinterpreting what I say or do, or else
creating the impression that he was misinterpreting for the purpose of discouraging participation there anyway....I'm evidently not the only person who
has experienced this scrambled "miscommunication" and been accused of not sending a sincere comment. Maybe he is some way supersensitive and
alert to any supposed opposition, or else truly doesn't understand what we say?

Jenny, St3v3M is a charter member of my UHH Ignore List after he ignored a post I submitted to one of his contests. That was the first and last time I participated in a UHH contest. Sorry you are apparently experiencing similar issues.

Thank you "Rj"...I guess if something happened such as that, I would ask why someone ignored and there might be
a reasonable answer. As they say, "stuff happens", sometimes people get busy. My policy is if I call twice and they
answer the phone and say they will call right back and still never do, it's a message in itself, if they really NEVER do,ha.
Of course I have contacted admin. and can hope for a reasonable answer but possibly not for awhile, as there is by now
SO much history of St3v3M sending pm message that he "modified", (actually deleted), my activity with no justification
whatever. Surely it couldn't be for the unfortunately compressed file that got that treatment before it ever went to the
forum over the weekend. I would have to find out what happened with that first, in order to restore it to the size it really is.
Seems to me a rather petty reason to ban someone !

BTW, who is this poor soul Didereaux who was so irritated by the unintentional compressed file
but understandably so as he came fsrom the Attic section where he had been in a big barroom brawl ?

You note please that the name of this person I wrote a pm msg. to has been deleted before it was switched here.
I have sent a pm to Didereaux, maybe he can tell us what's his part in all this??

I agree, you should choose the Nikon D750 over that Canon 80D for sure.

You're absolutely right Rac, weirdest place anyone ever went to, they just don't understand Oly people there!

If you click into the topic on FYC about the resurrected thread from one named
simon... that was brought to life by Dideraux,.. AND you click into asking Dideraux
WHAT PROMPTED him to open that old topic after a couple years, AND... if you follow
this curiosity to discover what St3v3M doesn't want you to know.....
you may uncover the reason I just got sent a notice that Steve is banning me from FYC.
He has been deleting me for months to the point of harassment which has been an additional
deterrent to my participation in FYC.
Now I think he needs to justify the reason for his action this morning. Please just keep the bond
of trust established by us both in our communications by pm msg until this strange development
is investigated.
Assuring you all is well with me, neither shocked nor especially surprised considering the difficult
past months and repeated threats, guess it's best this situation be uncovered and resolved.
Cheers, jennie n Xeno

Oh that's neat Bob! No wonder we didn't see it if you put it in the True Macro section! Hey, it's about time it got here where things are "considered"... better late than never.
It's a great shot too, good lighting and detail. Many a good photographer felt chased away from that true macro section because of the requirement for a true flat field macro lens, so I think only the dedicated hung on, or hung out there.
