So I take it you'd recommend adding a border when a part of my subject is on the very tip of the edge?
Does anyone know of any online printing services that offers reasonable shipping fees? I love Kodak.com for their brilliant metallic quality; their print sizes are very reasonable, but their shipping fees are outrageous unless I spend over a certain amount.
I apologize in advance if my question confuses some; I'll do my best to avoid that. I'm an amateur photographer that uses online companies to order my prints...mostly between 8 x 10 and 16 x 20. I am also an traditional photographer and only add brightness to my photos, I never photoshop them to recreate the appearance...just not my thing.
Anyway, if I order a beautiful print such as a horse, and the tip of his ears are in the picture but at the very edge, would ordering a print with an border edge make the whole metallic sheet bigger, or does the company slightly shrink the actual photo so the 8 x 10 as a white border?
I think you forgot to add the name.
As I am in the beginning stages of promoting my photography online, i am looking for a good watermarking program to purchase that's relatively inexpensive. I want to create my own watermark, save it and easily put it in front of each of my photos to show as samples. Currently I am using a standard photo editing program, and adding text to each picture. That is OK, but once I save the text, I am unable to select it and paste it on another photo.
Thanks. And I sign the bottom right-hand corner, with the month and year below. Is this also my choice "where" to sign?
I am an amateur photographer who has enjoyed shooting for six years. As I am getting better, I have had a few offers to sell a few of my works to friends. What is the proper way to sign a photograph? I've signed previous photos (which are framed) with only my first name. I don't know if there is a more professional way. I often thought about signing just my initials, or my first name and the first letter of my last?
