The first and third appear to be the same. And I see faces in them. How were these shots achieved? I think they are kinda cool. Might want to try this.
First and third are the same but I didn't realize it at the time then didn't know how to delete the third. Grandkids With glow sticks underwater = fun photo opportunities:)
 Not real sure then.
Impressed. Will enjoy seeing your photos. I'll just have to enjoy photo ops from the ground floor if I ever go back
Like them all, let's you think about looking at things differently.

The following is just my personal opinions and none meant to be derogatory. First, your exposure was right on! The lighting was also quite good and not expected from your comments. I found that, [b]IMHO[b], with some PP you could greatly improve your portrait quality. I took the liberty of applying some...a sample is attached.
I understood your theme and tried to retain that. However, I found that the white towel took attention away from your subject. I therefore blurred it and the BG as well as greately toning the white down. I also found the black holster (took me a while to figure out what it was) distracting as appearing out of subjects head. Maybe a better placement could be found. Having darkenend the BG a bit, I brightened the child a bit, as well. I admit I got carried away and enhanced his/her eyes some also. I apologize if my going so far is offensive to you. It is all just intended to offer some alternatives (the PP) to your space limitations. You can simulate more space in the finished product in this way. I hope this helps with your problem.
Joe
Thanks Joe. I don't mind a bit. This is the place to learn right? Another confession..... I'm not that proficient with photoshoping. I have elements and do minimal stuff. I really appreciate the effort you have given. :) Deanna
nice photo...but the chair is distracting. takes away from the subject. per jimberton
Yeah, and towel is white and draws the eye. My minds eye was seeing a western theme set up but I over did. Thanks for looking Jim

THANKS for the info. Will have to check this out.
We don't spoil our grandchildren do we??
No way is there any spoiling going on  The things I could tell you about what I've done with and for my three :D
Do have a look at the camera, it is worth the money for them to learn something new that could develope into a career. Good luck.

I really loved those shots. The water looks inviting and the children look happy. Great memories.
Thanks GrandMa. They were having a good time. Your are right about making the memories. I have 3 grands and they all live about 4 hrs. away. I've been getting these two every month since they were 2 1/2 mo. old until the granddaughter started kindergarten last yr. These two have been with us since school got out to spend the summer with their daddy. Unfortunately they have fallen into the statistics of the day due to divorce. :-(

There are a couple of kids not shy around a camera. Great shots.
My granddaughter wanted a camera. She said an easy one just to take pictures with. I bought her a cell phone with an 8 mega pixel camera. Now she calls me up and tells me about the pictures that she has taken and sends them to me. They are better then what I do. I'm going to take it away from her. LOL Yaa right, just try it.
 The things we do for our grandchildren

overflowing branch behind the house, a tough body camera, and fun will come. There is more to the story but I've already tried one time to put these up. :?
What kind of camera is it? I have 10 grandchildren, and this is a wonderful idea. Would love to get a camera for them to use, and have them try their hand at taking pics? Is it digital? wondered if they could see the photo after they take it?
THANKS for posting. Love the photos. Your girl looks like she loves to "pose".

Thanks for looking LindaB. It is digital P&S, Olympus 'Tough'. We took it to the gulf yesterday and even though Dravyn wasn't taking photos all the time he had it around his arm. I bought a flotation wrist strap when I bought it just in case it got away. At the time I bought it at the local camera store I go to the sales person told me they had just checked one out that someone had found while diving. It still worked.
