I enjoy finding Painted Buntings when I am in Florida ... or South Georgia or the South Carolina coast ..... If you see someone with a big white lens taking photos at your feeders don't worry about it ... could be me! :-)
I need to update my profile. I have just bstarted posting, though I have been lurking/reading here for a while. I live in the Sebring/Avon Park area. Rural, about 70 miles SW of Orlando, and about 70miles east of Tampa.
Thanks for the compliments. This was my first posting o UHH. The only other place I have posted nature pictures is on Facebook, for my kids. I am visiting them in Maryland for Christmas and New Years. I may post some more when I return home to Florida. I am pretty much a novice. Started a couple of years ago after my wife passed away.
I have Painted Buntings seasonally come to my bacPainted Bunting waiting for turn at the feederkyard feeder. Most of my photos are at the feeder. This one I just discovered while reviewing old shots for deletion. I saved it.
A couple years ago I found a 'slide sorter' on eBay. It was the type that used a light bulb behind a white plastic screen. Doesn't any magnification, but holds 40 slides and is excellent for selecting/sorting/arranging. Do a search on eBay. You may find something that suits your purposes. Much cheaper than buying a projector.
