A friend of mine just posted this to Facebook. Love the Smoky Mountains. Never get tired of them and feel very fortunate that I’ve been able to see and photograph the wonderful color for many years. Until this, I never really thought about what people who were color blind really saw.

I have been to the Masters tournament quite a few times and to the practice rounds. I actually prefer the practice rounds more than the actual tournament because the players are more relaxed. If you have Wednesday practice round tickets, don’t miss the par 3 tournament. The pictures I have taken at the par 3 are my favorites. We usually sit on the hill behind the 9th green (only 9 holes). Since I started playing golf when I was eight years old I feel more qualified to make suggestions about golf than lenses, but I would take the sharpest best range camera you have (or can rent ). It is more than a golf tournament - it is a great experience! It’s a total class event. Depending on weather, the flowers and azaleas are gorgeous. Even our friends who don’t play golf were in awe with the atmosphere at The Masters. Been to the US Open at Oakmont and Marion a couple times and there’s no comparison. Enjoy every moment! Excited for you!
CONGRATULATIONS! You will love your new camera and lens! I purchased the Canon 5D Mark IV and Canon 70-200mm f2.8, L II IS in July and I am thrilled with both. Previously, I had the Canon 70D and Rebel t3i. Many of the UHH contributors kept writing to invest in glass rather than a camera. Many also suggested renting lenses before buying them. Luckily, I can walk to LensRentals in Brentwood from my office and decided to rent several different lenses that were supposed to be top rated (LensRentals is great to rent from and extremely helpful). Because I work on large graphics that will be seen across the country, I am in the habit of blowing up graphics and pictures to a very large size so I can look at the details. After renting many of the great lenses and putting them on my cropped camera bodies, none of the pictures I took seemed to be that much better than what I already owned and definitely not worth buying for the cropped body cameras I already owned. So after I did lots of research and watched lots of videos comparing different cameras I purchased the 5D IV/70-200mm 2.8 Ii. I promised my husband that I would sell the other cameras and cropped camera lenses if I purchased a new FF camera. Since I had rented lenses and hadn't invested buying lenses, I considered all different camera brands equivalent to the 5D IV, but ultimately decided on the Canon because personally I just like the Canon colors and that many professions talked about how durable they were.
After I purchased the same camera and lense that you just purchased, I was fearful that I wouldn't be able to find another lense as sharp as the 70-200mm on my new camera. So once again, I rented a couple of lenses. I sold my two crop cameras and 3 crop lenses to a local camera store and got the Canon 24-70mm II and really like it also. Except for buying a wide angle and super zoom lens, I think I'll be done with GAS attacks and just use my equipment for a while. Since most of my photos are of grandchildren and the Smoky Mountains, I'm hoping that 4 good lenses will be enough. If you should find another great lense for your new camera please let us all know!
On a side note - I've noticed post processing is much faster because the pictures are just that much better!
Once again, CONGRATULATIONS!
