Thanks, all, but these kind suggestions do not answer my question. Perhaps I did not phrase it well enough. If I wanted to search the classified for, for example, a canon sx50hs, WITHOUT going page by page, how could I do it?

In the classified section, how can one look for a specific item without scrolling through all of the ads?

Yes, Scenery was beautiful. But a Wikipedia article on the series notes that much of the landscape was photographed in Scotland. what was don in Shetlands was Lerwick and the closely surrounding area.

Thanks for responses so far, and thanks DaveO for the link. I was wondering whether a longer zoom than the 400mm my fz1000 will give me will be necessary for wildlife: bears, moose, etc. I suppose there are enough areas that are flat and unobscured by trees that the animals could be visible, but only at a fairly long distance. I know that the p900 has a very small sensor and that images fall apart over 400 ISO, but would it be useful enough or good enough for the rare (?) occasion when animals are relatively remote. I worked in Yellowstone some 50 years ago during the summer, and remember much, but do not recall what the plains and meadows looked like. And there were no bison there then, or if they were I didn't see them.

At the end of May, my wife and I are traveling to Utah (Arches and Canyonlands Nat'l Parks) and then to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone. I would especially like advice on whether to get a long zoom for the trip, and how long a zoom. I already have, and plan to take, my Lumix FZ1000, which has a zoom of 400 mm. will this be enough? Am thinking of the Nikon p900. Would this be a useful addition, or am I just having an attack of GAS?
Secondarily, I would appreciate as well any other advice, such as essential things to see in Arches or Canyonlands.
Many thanks in advance.

Take a look at the Olympus Stylus 1s. See the review at imaging-resource.com. I had carried a Canon G9 in my car as a camera to use when out and about. But it crashed and burned after I inadvertently touched an electric fence with it. I was thrown backwards and camera went flying.
The imaging-resource review will have a link sending you to their review of its predecessor, the Stylus 1. It is essentially the same camera except that the 1s has newer software. But if you can get a used Stylus 1, as I did, and a cable to connect to the computer, you can get a software upgrade that makes it the same as the newer 1s.
The camera is a gem. Great EVF, shoots in raw, has a 28-300mm zoom (which can be doubled digitally, with little, if any degradation that I can find). It has the same size sensor as my G9 had and 12 megapixels. This latter feature means that there are limits to which you can enlarge and print. But if you shoot tight and at reasonable ISO (not exceeding 800), you can get very good prints at 13x19.

Right, but my computer was made by a local firm several years ago. Worked fine until I installed Win 10. But I still don't know which drivers to update. Graphics card? Is there a special Blue-tooth driver? Still confused. But thanks for your response.

Thanks, but which drivers? computer, printer, monitor, Spectraview?

I am not sure that this is suitable for the photography section, but both issues are relvant to my workflow.
I recently updated to Windows 10. I discovered last night that my PC and canon Pro-100 are not communicating via Bluetooth. That is, I cannot get images printed either from Lightroom or PS. When I transfer the image to my laptop and plug the laptop into the printer via USB cable, everything is fine.
Secondly, when I try to calibrate my NEC P221W monitor via Spectraview, the Spectraview panel say that no supported monitors are recognized.
At this point I am confounded.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

I can see why you are overwhelmed by the manual. But just go to the things you want. For example in the pdf manual, which you can download. simply hit control-F, and in the box which appears, type bracket. This take you to pages 171-172 of the manual. there it ells you to set the left upper dial to bracketing, the middle icon. Then go to menu->REC -> auto bracket to set the number of exposures and the steps between them.
Not so hard if you eat the big cheese one nibble at a time.

When I updated to the CC version of Photoshop and Lightroom, I got a desktop icon called Adobe Creative Cloud. No separate icon for LR. To get to LR, I have to click the Creative Cloud icon, and then get a page where I can choose from Home, Apps, Assets, Stock, or Community. I then click on Apps. This takes me to a page where I have PS and LR icons. When I click on LR, the program—very slowly—appears.
Unless, that is, when there is an up-date. Then I cannot get in until I have run the update, which takes a very long time. I have not timed it, but it seems like it takes 20 minutes to half an hour.
My questions are these:
Is there any way to get an LR icon directly on my desktop so that I can get there quicker?
Is there any way to get to LR immediately and save the update for later?
I would appreciate any advice you Hoggers might supply.
