It was a party. There was alcohol. Everybody was having a good time until Steve had to much to drink and called Bobs wife a tramp. Some words were exchanged. And that's when the fight started.
These two Coots were going at each other last Monday at Santee Lakes. Normally when they have a confrontation it only lasts about 20-30 seconds before they break off and go about their way. I was surprised how long this one lasted. 1 min. 19 sec. elapsed between my first and last shot.

I must have been asleep at the wheel way more than usual yesterday. This was supposed to be posted in the photo gallery section, not photo analysis. Thanks to everyone for looking and for the comments and compliments.

Next to where it says Flickr at the top left of the home page there are four drop down menus listed as You, Explore, Prints, and Get Pro. Hover over the "You" drop down menu and click on About. At the bottom of the "About " page there is a link to their Help page.

This Mantis was on my back porch a few days ago. I'm no Mantis expert, but from the size and shape of it's abdomen I'm thinking it's a pregnant female.

A few damselflies and dragonflies from my last two visits to Santee Lakes. I'm still trying to get a damsel in flight. So far no luck.
