Not knowing the Nikon but what I have heard the autofocus will drift at a long reach. I know the Panasonic menu and having a FZ300 if you want to do any video you will find that it does a good job. Also the 4k stills are tack sharp. I see they are about $100 difference. Whichever you pick....have fun

As they say you get what you pay for. Try to put together a camera with the same spechs. I bet at least $3000. I pay monthly and have a 5 year warranty. It was a serious decision and do not have any buyers remorse at all. If I had any doubts I just look at the results and the doubts go away

Hi..I have been involved with bridge cameras since I started on retirement 10 years ago. I have my preferences to what is important to me to purchase a camera. A solid build with a little weight and a lens with reach with good glass, A comfortable viewfinder as I will not use an LCD screen to frame a shot. If I find that it is just sitting in the closet and I don`t use it as much as I should I will sell it or give it to a family member who will use and learn the system. Just to give you my go to cameras. The FZ300 has given me great images has a 600mm 2.8 lens that will give you 4k stills. These are not frame grabs. It is also weatherproofed which is great for Florida and a viewfinder that is comfortable and detailed. My second is a recent purchase of a RX10M4. The camera has literally everything I wish for. If you go that route treat yourself to the book by Alexander White. It will answer any questions you have on the menu. Both of these cameras will produce IMO great images. Good luck. If you buy from B and H or Adrorama you have a no question 30 day return.

Lenovo Y900re...128 ssd boot+2tb 7200...NVidia GeForce 1080 8 gig video...16 gigs Ballastic 3200 ram...SD slot...DVD writer...mechanical Razer keyboard and mouse (lights up) slots for 2 more drives. Its a gamers build but for doing photo editing and 4 k its awesome. I remember paying just over 1K with $70 for a 3 year onsite. The video card alone if you bought it would be 5 to $600. Looked at the boutique builders but they were all much more expensive. I am very pleased with the system. Lenovo will not build custom. Dell even in the outlet came out more expensive.

Fz1000 has for accessories a lens hood,2 batteries and a wall charger. Software hunting for it and some of the paperwork that they put in the box. no scrathes on the body....works fine.

It has been a good day. Hope everyone is well and the sun shone on your path. Number 4 ...I don`t think I have ever seen this species of bird with the green around the eyes. Sorry for what you are stating you are dead wroung. These are my past cameras...HYX300...Fuji S1...FZ300.....FZ1000...SX50....all small sensor except for the 1000 not enough reach and noisy. I could rattle off the pros and cons of each. Fact is the RX10M4 has very few cons and has been spot on the trail...Look if you are saying I made a mistake in this purchase I don`t in anyway feel that I did. With the weather sealing and all....great package for Florida. With 24fps great for birding and surfing. 600mmx2 clearview very little or no noise. Not worth it for you ...fine but extremely worth it for me. Look just stating my opinion and maybe you should pick one up or rent one before you state a negative.
