I lost my hard drive on my PC so out of frustration I bought a MAC. Now I have the daunting task of migrating all my pics from the old PC to my new MAC. The geeks were able to salvage my pics, but now I have to learn a new system. I know there are MAC experts out there and was wondering if there is any friendly advice/help? Thanks for any help.

I agree on the Obama reference but actually, John Adams, the second president was the first chief executive to occupy the White House although it was still under construction.
Thanks for the update/correction.
Or a foreign born.
"President Obama sipped a beer made by the White House kitchen staff during a pre-Super Bowl interview with NBC News, and boasted that he was the first president since George Washington to make some booze in the White House. While the first president was certainly a brewer and distiller, he never lived in the White House. The third president, Thomas Jefferson, was the first occupant of the executive mansion."

Something is wrong here, I try to move it to the desktop as you suggest, it bounces right back to the original spot.I think if I could get it to finder it might work, but won't stay there either.
Thanks

Move/copy [export] it to the desktop, there you can burn it to dvd using finder or drag it to a flash drive.
edit: or you can buy a program that will do that.

Good stuff. Still used to get rid of fleas.
It's the global warming believers who are ignorant earth's history. After every ice age there ever was, there followed global warming, none which was caused by mankind.
From the 1300s to 1870 was the called little ice age, not caused by man. In the 1970s the New York Times called those winters the beginning of a new ice age.
So if you want to believe in global warming, go ahead believe it, just don't push for any taxpayers dollars to wasted on global warming.

It is significant that steve r felt compelled to put words in his mouth.
Are you the one I should come to now when I want to know if something is significant? It seems like it was someone else last week. This is so confusing. There should be a directory.
Go back to sucking your thumb and you'll be warm and safe.
Maher and anything he has to say is no more significant than GloZell Green's fruit loops.

I am going to be the Fort lauderdale, Port Lucie, Sunrise area, this weekend. Would anyone have any places they could suggest for birds and wildlife photos. I do have a car and am willing to travel. Thank a lot in advance.
Mike
Try some of the sites listed below. Also, if the Everglades National Park is on your list of places to go, please stay up to date on the park news, right now certain areas are closed because birds are nesting. But visit the park anyway.
