Hi group,

Two things I discovered this week: When using my laptop with Zoom while on its battery supply, my D750 (and all of my other Nikons) turns off live view when I switch to it from another camera (EX: onboard laptop). When the power supply is plugged into the laptop, it switches back and forth perfectly. In either case, when using the Virtual Camera function in OBS Studio, the switch back & forth is seamless (doesn't turn off).

Several of my old Nikons will not produce "clean HDMI" out in live view. The workaround I found is to pull the camera's bounding box beyond the picture boarders in OBS. This process puts the shuttler/aperture, data, etc. outside the view of OBS & Zoom. A tighter angle of view is the trade off but I can always move the camera a bit to compensate. Just some Zoom-online FYI that took me several days to figure out. Take care & ...

Hi wags,
Another option might be a used Nikon D7100 like this one on eBay - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Nikon-d7100-Camera-Bundle/193691963692?hash=item2d18f0d12c:g:VgcAAOSwXnlfdiWz. Take care & ...

Hi Tully Boy,
I use Adobe Premiere Elements to put together my slide shows and it comes with a fairly good library of RF music. If you have a version of that program, you may already have the music you need. Take care & ...

Hi augiesc,
You've already gotten great suggestions. I'd like to add two: (1. Check your lens/camera to verify it is not front or back focusing, and (2. Once the focus is verified, shoot a series of pictures with the camera on a tripod and set at a range of aperatures (f5.6 to f22 or top of the lens). Most lenses have a one or two focal length "sweet spot" that produces a sharper result that do the other focal lengths. Take care & ...

Hi bigben,
You've already gotten many answers to the question of "charging straight to the camera" you posted. I only offer a word of caution - I have a couple of P&S cameras that charge to the camera via the USB port. The problem I ran into was the USB port on the side of the camera getting loose after multiple charges. I've since bought external chargers for the camera(s) that came to me with only the USB charging option. Take care & ...

Hi Art,
Not all Nikon cameras readily produce clean HDMI out - at least not that I've found. Here is a way using a D7200 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXCoajjkusw. I have several older point & shoot Nikon and Olympus cameras and I can get clean VIDEO out by pressing the the "display" button a couple of times until the display disappears. Unlike the newer Nikons where you use an HDMI cable and HDMI capture card, the older P&S ones require a "video capture card" with RCA connections to use for live streaming or for Zoom (etc.) meetings/webinars. Take care & ...

Hi Jerry,
