How unusual is needed for this thread?

Now that is just down right one heck of a perverted tree.

One thing we must remember about HDR: It usually works best when there is contrasting depths of light. Dark lows and bright highs. This particular photo does not really have any those attributes.

Must be the composition of the photo.

I like #2, but something about it just doestn't make me think the picture is level.

Your photo looks good to me. These others are oversturated and look fake.

thanks. what i find amazing is how small it really is. what i didn't like was unlike our civil and revolutionary war battlefields, development encroaches to the front door of the alamo. it is like santa anna made a flanking attack through the burger king lot, was repulsed and retreated behind the piggly wiggely, attacked the center through the blockbuster video store, and finally sucseded by a rear assalt through starbucks parking lot. the land around the alamo is hollowed ground where men died, and not to give us frappechinos!
thanks. what i find amazing is how small it really... (show quote)

I couldn't have said it any better.

When I clicked on this thread, I thought I'd see pics of the apocalypse. Then I see flowers. Nice.

Wow! You're kidding! It's a European Starling aka hawk food aka cat food aka target practice. I detest these things but they are very photogenic in the right light.

Their feathers also make some nice flies if you're into fly tying.

Well, I said I would try posting the magnolia blooms, so here they are...

And it's a beautiful sunny 74° here.
