I live in rural Arizona, so Walgreens is the only game in town here. Since I use film all my 4x6 prints come with the developing. When I scan the negatives and want a larger print I take it to Walgreens here. They used to have an 8x10 special for $1.00. The one thing that I want to add is monitor calibration. I use a Pantone Huey. The color on my prints is perfect. Before I got the Huey some of my stuff looked ok but now they look great.

I remeber a friend lending me a K1000. It was quite a few years ago, and I loved it. I only shot two rolls of film through it, and the photos came out great. With a little practice you will get the hang of it. The old simple cameras are still the best. I have a Canon FTb. It's a great camera that I use not often enough. Hmmmm I think I'll take it out this weekend.

Hello guys and gals. I just got a couple of old rangefinders at an auction. I paid $10 each for them One is a Ricohlett II and the other is a Clarus MS 35. I have read a few things on line about them, but would like to know more. If anyone has any info I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

My two cents. I am using an old HP photsmart S20 film scanner. It does what I want it to do. I don't think they make it any more but you might find a used one. I am currently looking at a new scanner. It is a Canoscan 9000f http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/scanners/film_negative_scanners/canoscan_9000f

Nice part about it is you can scan 12 negatives or 4 slides at one time. You can also scan the old 120 medium format negs. It comes with Photoshop Elements. and you can find one for under $200. Hope this helps.

I use a Pantone Huey II. It's not that expensive and does what I need. It made a huge difference in my 8x10 prints.
