If your working in photoshop use LAB Not RGB Color Profiles. Print in LAB and your printer icc's will not matter, you will become device independent in other words your printer is a device and printing in RGB or CMYK are dependent on the printers icc's to print. This makes the color profiles device dependent. LAB frees you from device dependency, No need to calibrate your printer.

Floral43,

Thanks for this tip. I'm using CS6 on a MAC. I did find one place to change from RGB to LABS and tried it it appears better for printing.

For calibrating the monitor on my iMac I use a Spyder Pro. Works great. I have a Canon Pixma Pro 9500 printer, I use the printer utility and Canon paper to print on. Mostly printing 8 1/2 x11's or 4x6 at this time.

But if there is a better way for me to do this, please let me know.

BTW, I'm a veteran too, but I don't expece sumtin fur nuttin !!!

Nicely said. Yes, I'm a vet by the way. 40% is quite a bit to expect. Profit margins to both the manufacturer and retailer are slim these days. To provide such a high discount they would have to jack up the MSRP much higher and then make it look like a deal for you. The citizens of the US have spoken (loudly) that they want low prices and are willing to forgo quality service, so higher MSRP's would hurt the retailers.

By calling him a clown, you are insulting circus clowns worldwide.

However. he does have a dummy called Biden who in fact does repeat everything that the incumbent says.

Thanks for pointing out my error, apologies to all Circus Clowns.

There is a wide variety of LED type lighting available for photo/video work. Amazon, ebay, Adorama and such. For video work I do use a small one, 32 leds. I also have traditional strobe and continuous lights.

I can see the advantages of the technology, as they are lightweight, run cool and have low power consumption.

The number of leds can span a small number to 1,000, with filters, barn doors and even battery power available.

I'm now seeing models that offer light temperature adjustment for 3200K to 5500K, is this extra feature of value?

Thanks for any help, the choices are staggering now and looking to understand it better.

Maybe its time that we citizens of the US try uniting against the politicians and send them packing. Most people prefer soap operas and sports, and this allows the 545 clowns to wreck havoc on us.

We must find 545 people to unite us, the 545 we currently have divided us for too long and its time for a change.

God does not have a Mom.

I have not seen the show but I think a feminist invented that theory. Sad that such rubbish exists.

Some of this starts us citizens, some of it starts with the Feds.

Sadly the majority of people in the US are will to sacrifice quality and service to save money. Walmart and other discount chains became popular because of this. Can't blame any specific collection of people for this.

Then the gov't has provided tax incentives for US makers to outsource the creation of goods to outside of the US.

I would love to see us make stuff again and I ask the fed candidates in my state/district to support that, however the special interests also ask them to support overseas production.

Lawful citizens in NY and NJ are not allowed to protect themselves. Only cops and criminals are allowed to carry guns.

LOL, and from when I lived there a long time ago the cops were just as crooked as the crooks.
