Annette, you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Over the past few days I must have taken a 'zillion' pictures of my amaryllis that today is in full bloom. Thanks to my sister with a quick lesson on manual settings I feel I have a somewhat acceptable picture. Not sure if I fully comply with the rule of thirds beause of the subject.

Very nice Irene.

Thank you.

Another amazing thread. Bushido has me thinking more about B/W. These were taken last week trying to remember 3rds, arcs, digs, contrasts, light - ACCCCHHHHKK! But I had fun.

Nice. The 'business end of a broom' makes me think of a close up of a nest with the cloudy/blue sky as its background. Is this really a broom?

Because of what a few of you have shared on this challenge I decided to create something in camera that looked like a kaleidoscope. I used my crystal bowl with a glass object inside of it that had red, gold and green painted on it. Then used my macro lens to do a close up of this circular design cut into the crystal. This challenge has me thinking outside the box.

Very pretty Mary!

My #1 is a no brainer - the landscape lights on our front walk caught my attention when I got home at dusk as they were beginning to light up.

#2 is looking down at the top of our fire hydrant on our Church property.

#3 chains on the hydrant

pg.19 Like number 2. I guessed a part of the light of number 1.
