Just putting this out there, I know we have a daily photo challenge here on UHH hosted by photogrl57, I believe the idea behind her thread is to get people out and using their camera every day. Now I don’t want to step on her toes but I was thinking of hosting a weekly photo challenge that would be more geared toward learning how to use your camera, what changing certain settings will do and helping members go from using a pre-program mode to learning how to use the scary M mode (manual). There would be weekly assignments and we would discuss as a group what we learned each week, maybe even take a selected group of images from the lesson and discuss them as a whole.

Let me know if anyone is interested in something like this.

I'm in! Never too old to learn. Too old, maybe, but not to learn!

Wondering if they are reviving the "Home Improvement" TV show.. think I just saw Mr. Wilson today? Or at least part of him.

My first thought went to the "killroy was here" drawings.

Eddie my bearded Dragon and the Grasshoppers

"Eddie" kind of reminds me of the "Horned Toads" I use to catch as a kid while visiting my grandparents in the "Hill Country" of Texas. Of course we called 'em "Horny Toads" then.

I thought this was a cute picture of my 7 year old granddaughter's first try at catching at her softball game. Sometimes when the ball hit her glove it almost tilted her backward but she didn't give up.....until the next game.

I REALLY like that photograph! You'll remember most of that game because of this one capture. That, and I think children make great subjects.

the town exsists has hell day festivals and sells souvineers from hell.As you can see it has frozen over, there are neither handbaskets or good intentions anywhere around. didn't see the devil why I was there, but was listening to sympathy for the devil by the rolling stones when me and my buddies visited. Besides as any good michiganian could tell you the real hell is located south of the wolverine state, its called OHIO.

We in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan are proud to remind everyone that Hell (MI) is south of the Macinaw Bridge while Paradise (MI) is north of it

Re: the screen name..........Day Old Pizza............I was not aware that there was such a thing. At least not in MY house when I had 3 teenage boys still living here. :>)

Caught me red-handed!
When my son was about, I'm guessing, 14 he was already deep into computers. I was trying to set up a Gmail account, but I couldn't think of an original name someone else hadn't chosen already. I wasted at least an hour or two at it until I became thoroughly frustrated. He says, let me help you dad. His first try he comes up with Day Old Pizza. He said I could have the account. I liked the name, so I accepted .
I agree with your observations about teenagers and pizzas. By the time my youngest started college, I was so tired of pizza that if I was stranded alone on a desert island with a truckload of Domino's pizza, I would have starved to death.

"No Swimming"
$50 fine

So--- one is instructed NOT to swim and than fined for not doing so, or one is being instructed that by not swimming you will be fined. Think I'll just stay home.

Good eyes! I missed the no swimming sign. If you were to get caught "skinny dipping" after dark they must really throw the book at you!

This is My buddy Adam, He's an orphan that I have been mentoring online for almost 2 years. He can not speak and has Epilepsy. Adam is a super intelligent child. He is 12. What I'd like to ask you guys is to add him to your prayers today. This morning was his first of 10, 4 hour Gama Knife radiation treatments for a brain tumor. He is a great little guy and has brought many things in to my life. I didn't take the picture, but it's ok

I will be praying for him, his family and his doctors beginning today. Please post an update occasionally and let us know how he's doing.

The village of Avoca near the meeting of the waters. Avoca aka: Ballykissangel, where the BBC TV series of the same name was filmed.

Sweet vale of Avoca! how calm could I rest
In thy bosom of shade, with the friends I love best,
Where the storms that we feel in this cold world should cease,
And our hearts, like thy waters, be mingled in peace.
Thomas Moore

Judging by the number of beer kegs, I'd guess there are a lot of Irishmen in Avoca resting calmly in the vacinity of the Fitzgerald's establishment.

Tail cone ?

Are we looking at the object itself, or the container that holds it?

I have windows and my pictures are in "Libraries". They are in folders and I would like to move them from one folder to another. How can I get them to do this?

My first post didn't come out correctly.
1. Go to the folder that contains the folder you want to move.
2. Click once on the folder you want to move (it is now highlighted)
3. Under the EDIT menu at the top of page select MOVE FOLDER
4. Go to the folder where you want your selected folder moved.
5. Click OK

You can drag & drop too, but depending on your version of Windows it is not always the preferred way to make the move.
