I just bought an Epson V500 scanner for under $100. Can scan up to 54,400 × 74,880 pixels at 6400 dpi. Takes photos, slides, negatives, just about anything. Love it.

Rusty....great shot. Lighting is beautifully done. It is not easy getting published in a top notch photo magazine. The competition is immense. Thanks to your post, I am going to Shutterbugs web site and ordering a subscription. I will tell them your photo inspired me to order.
Ester has some very good advice. I would remove the lens from the camera and dry each out separately. This would keep moisture from the camera from going into the lens.
You know, I've never even thought of that problem. All I've been doing is adjusting the tilt on my laptop to the best picture and fortunately no problems with my PP. The gizmo is a super idea. Going to order one asap. Thanks for the post.
