I really enjoyed doing this one,

but took a long while so may be it for the day

As the start for work is early in the morn

Simon - All the work you did on 'She dances in the wood' was worth it....it's beautiful! My thoughts on it keep flipping from a woman to a butterfly. The colors and the lines flow!

Thank you cyan, how about I call it 'Madame Butterfly' :D

It is a woman though in a winged top with her arms spread so I see why you see a butterfly, definitly human legs and not those of a butterfly
quote=cyan quote=creativ simon I really enjoyed ... (show quote)

"Madame Butterfly" is good!

HEH...yeah I doubt that too

I agree--there is no way that will happen. The field is so broad and varied that I just don't see that happening. I think we could all take the same base image and each have the same software and it still wouldn't have the same results.
Swede[/quote]

Right! And we would also do MANY different things with the same image & software. Sorry, I think I just said the same thing you did.

I use photoshop Elements 8 sometimes I have something very specific in mind...like when I put the faces in the sunflower or make the quilts.
I also use Windows live...for very quick fixes and Picasa for collages

Thanks for sharing that info. I'm beginning to feel a bit more normal.

What's "nornal"? And I'm kinda proud I'm not.

Andrew - I like the contrast between the background and the foreground. It looks like it/they're jumping out at you.

Another look at the mailbox. It has seen several different coats of paint in it's lifetime, I do believe.

Rust is such a wonderful subject! So much can be done with it.

Thank you Pam and William (pg.104) .Really like that B+W grid.

Hoko, glad you are on the mend, cute puppy!

Swede ,like them all but #4 for me.

Thank you Simon and Nan. (pg. 105)

Andrew, the download is amazing!

Hi Vinnie, I also use a variety of programs . Corel X5, Smart Photo Editor, Gimp, Photo Impact 12. Sometimes I set up and shoot with an idea in mind. Sometimes things take on their own life.- I really like your last one.

Simon, She dances in the Wood is stunning!! I see her, seriously great work!

Pam, pretty purple flowers!
Did you arrange them that way?

bb gun , I'm really liking your use of pastels!
The simplicity of your last one does it for me... (and the sandy color... hahahah)

Swede, thank you. We were at the Children's Hospital in New Haven today. Not the best news.
Your last is my fav. in this set. I see you softened the colors..... it works ...but I always love the vibrancy of your work.

William, sometimes the old favs. are the best.

Cyan, beautiful. Looks like melting silk. Funny, I was just playing with something similar.
Thank you Cyan! (pg.103) br br Thank you Pam and ... (show quote)

Creative simon: The comment I get is how many more pictures do you have to take of the same scene? Also we’ve seen enough flower gardens for now. Thanks for the compliments. I usually don’t know exactly where I am going with an abstract as most of mine are adaptations of pictures through software. My challenge is learning new adaptations through edits in software. The software Gods have blessed me this last week and allowed some very different edits from what I was doing. Topped off is quite the image!! Your sliding away came up with some of the same muted colors I got on an image last night. Interesting??

Laskalass: FatRosie is a good looking cat. Of course to me almost all of them are good looking. You did a nice edit on the cat as well as the tree later on.

Clasina46: You are really getting into the swing of this thread with a very nice post today. I like the title.

Tooth Maker: I am glad you had time to make a very interesting image.

Pgl: Pam your post is beautiful!! Thanks for all your comments on the posts. They are very much appreciated. I am glad you took your camera and hope you got some great images. Liquid color is great!

JENNIFER: I am glad you are back and posting so I can go on vacation. I am hoping that you will fill in for me. We will be gone from the 16th to the 27th. I wish Christopher a Happy Birthday! Sorry I haven’t found any more good cartoons for him. You have a good looking son! I like the birthday picture. It looks like they are having a good time. I like your Star Ball presentation and in the Pink!

Country’s Mama: Yes the years do fly fast. We’re going to Florida next week to see my Grandson who is in college. I remember pushing him in a stroller only a few years ago.

William: Thank you, yes I am happy. I am glad that you and all the others are having fun on this post and growing in art appreciation in the process. I like your posts today especially the old pump. I remember those from my youth. Nice post on p 104!

Bb gun: I like your posts today. I am guessing but are those the badlands east of Calgary near Drumheller—I think. I was there once about 20 years ago and went through the dinosaur museum. If it is that is an amazing place—one goes from flat prairie to a deep canyon in the blink of an eye—lush green vegetation on top to bare eroded earth below. I like the colors on the last two.

RiverNan: I am glad to see you commenting here and I enjoy your prose!

Cyan: I agree with you on 100 as that image has enough things going on that one could conjure up all kinds of images from it.
You do have to have a vivid imagination to get them identified.

Hoku: I am so glad to see you back and over the flu. You must have had a really bad case. I love the first picture in your post—very cute. Of course I am partial to puppies and cats. The third image is very impressive also. We will look forward to your posts now that you are well.
