Can't be a mentor as I am in almost the same state you are (so don't feel alone). I just got a Nikon5000 which I am struggling to master. There MAY be a "bible" for you. I got one of the "for dummies" books for my specific camera model. There may be one for yours. I am finding mine easy to understand -- sure beats the camera manual. I think you would find it a big help. Good luck! Mac's mom.

Shoot...shoot....shoot...press buttons....look...shoot...shoot...ask other Photogs....shoot....shoot...shoot..... hahaha

Pgl: Pam, thanks for the compliments—your flowers today are beautiful. I like your last post on 126 the best.

Clasina46: Thanks for answering as to where you live. I started out about 10 years ago with a Coolpix. I got some excellent pictures with it and got hooked. While I use some complex software most of my editing is done on programs totaling less than $150.00. I can accomplish most of it one an inexpensive laptop that I carry on trips so one doesn't have to spend an arm and a leg for Photoshop etc. Good luck in your endeavors. I assume that we are looking at a frog mailbox—interesting idea and a great picture!

Creativ simon: Thanks for the compliments. I am having fun with KPT but will have to find something new so I don’t get redundant. I don’t have the native creativeness that you do in Photoshop so I am happy finding software that leads me on the path. Nice images on p 122. I tried taking a pocket watch apart when I was a kid—it didn’t work before plus it never worked again. I did have left overs. That is a very nice sunset with some unique edits.

William: You are getting more creative in your posts—I admire your new car! Your post on 125 is excellent also. I appreciate your comments. Ketchup and mustard make an interesting mix. I think I like the smooth sweeping lines and blending of the first one.

RiverNan: From your description of the fall, you are extremely lucky! Actually doubly lucky—you got a very unique picture and survived to tell about it. The lily is beautiful especially with the water droplets.

Tooth Maker: Interesting image on p 121 and nice effect. I am glad you are still finding time to create—it helps to relax and get some enjoyment. Don’t worry about not commenting. Convoluted is an interesting mix of design and color.

Bb gun: Great images on 121. Number 1 and three are good but I am partial to the effects that you achieved on the second one in the first post. I can tell you are hiding from the cold weather today. The images in the third post are very effective.

Amyinsparta: You have an impressive post today. I like your effects.

Lynndart: You have an excellent talent for unique edits on children. I’ve never seen anything quite like it and admire them a lot. Your second post is excellent also. You have a very attractive daughter!! I see Simon is impressed also!

RMM & Country’s Mama: Thanks for commenting.

Cyan: I appreciate your commenting. Also I like your posts today—very nice!

VINNIE B: I’m going to horn in on Simon and enjoy your flower posts today. I am impressed with the last one.

JENNIFER: You have an interesting abstract of the yellow flowers. I like the ghost effect.

Thanks to everyone for all their efforts.

Pgl: Pam, thanks for the compliments—your flowers... (show quote)

Swede-your posts today are excellent....as usual!!
I especially like #1....I see a lot of things in it...in the salmon colors. But I really like the blue...it reminds me of marble!
