it's been 3 weeks since I took the pictures, I haven't said anything to her besides "the disk is ready" 2 weeks ago... yesterday she finally paid me! Woot!!!!

I'm also happy to report that she sent me a text telling me how happy she is with all the pictures. :)

We don't know the lady but perhaps your unease over the pricing of your work was noted and "if we delay and say nothing" you might give in and gift the photos? 8-)

I took these pictures back to back. I can not figure out why one is clear and the other in a fog. Any one have an idea what I might have done wrong?
Both pic was taken same settings Aperture 4.34, f/4.5,
ISO 1600, Lens 55-250mm

Both pictures appear to be lit to the same intensity by your flash except for the fog in #2. An area lamp in the upper, left corner with accompanying lense flare, shows that shot #2 is angled slightly more to your right. The change in angle probably allowed a beam from the area light to wash over the lense and thus fog the overall picture. Your metering (set to spot for the riders face?) would not see and compensate for the extraneous light.

One more point: The existence of laws does not mean their continuation. As soon as elites obtain enough power and control over the government they immediately begin to chip away at all laws that obligate them to labor, the market, and the environment. Such was the fate of the Glass Steagall Act and other important laws that fell prey to the deregulation movement. With no one left to speak for the worker, all laws currently protecting them will be gone. The vanguard of this situation has already appeared in the form of the myriad exceptions elites have already found to the minimum wage laws, even though minimum wages are not even enough for bare minimum expenses. That is why you want to destroy unions; to take away everything that has not yet been taken from workers. As I said, I believe on another thread, if that comes to pass, workers will see their paychecks and all work conditions left to the tender mercies of greed corporate executives. As the new Gilded Age sets in, you and your kind can then explain that it was an economic inevitability that had nothing to do with union busting.
br One more point: The existence of laws does not... (show quote)

I am pretty much done with this conversation as I am tiring of it... With Union membership down to something like 7% of private employment I would say that unions have already lost the fight. The only reason that they have been able to maintain as high as 7% are the archaic laws that protect them and force membership in different areas of the country. Given the choice many union members would abandon the unions and their forced dues. The fact of the matter is is that even with the decks stacked in their favor the unions have failed in the private sector, and soon you will see public sector unions dismantled as taxpayers revolt against lush union contracts and benefits which far exceed those of the private sector especially in education as the protectionism and lack of results really rankles most taxpayers....

You can point to the stupidity of the nation for union demise as I am sure that any thinking person would agree with your presentation here on these pages.
quote=PNagy br One more point: The existence of ... (show quote)

Whoa! You forgot the other 4.9% union membership in the public sector.
An interesting fact is that the greater percentage (read disproportionate) of government workers who were laid off last year were... non union.
http://economix.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/01/31/government-unions-and-layoffs/
Given a free choice I'm sure many union menbers would give up their membership and trust the boss to be fair and equitable. Many of these same people would give up Social Security if it meant a few more dollars on their pay checks.
Familiarity breeds contempt.

I dont know if I can type for laughing at your posting!!!! Man alive, ..... a FAMILY MAN.....and let's not forget the WIT he's supposed to have !

When a movie star is before a camera.... they LOOK and ACT their BEST.... most of the time, that is. Obama does the same thing. He has NO wit !!! He is very demanding of his employees even rude too or so I read from an 'insider'... and a FAMILY MAN, you say ??? When I see a man and his wife... RUNNING with their dog while they're supposed to be walking and they HAVE the White House Camera man there... don'tcha that that is a little strange?
What happened to WALKING? Why do they HOLD hands constantly.... I have seen numerous pics of them in the halls passing the help by.. HOLDING HANDS... like two love birds. They HOLD the kids hands like they are toddlers, for crying out loud!!! It's all for SHOW... !!!

Any one can surely see this is all so 'fake' it's sickening! Now... I know you are going to write back and say I dont know what I am talking about... but wait on your comment BEFORE you blast me into orbit for it..... I just know some Secret Service Man will write a tell all book on him like Aldridge (not sure that's his name, but I read the book) on Clinton... it would blow your mind! Those Secret Serv. men see all and I mean ALL....

You can see movie stars holding hands so lovey dovey... then the next week.. they're each talking to their own lawyers about a divorce.... Obama does not like Fox.. and hasn't mainly cause of Glenn Beck's show and of course when Oreilly interviewed him that one time... Besides that... Obama knows he can't get on the good side of Fox... therefore he hates them!!! He need not worry, though, he has all the other news channels in his pocket.... when it's something he does that's disgusting... they never mention it.. but Fox will.... that's why he hates them.[/quote]
---------------------------------------------------------------
Wow! An unbiased, honest reportage.
"Obama knows he can't get on the good side of Fox... therefore he hates them!!!" And I don't understand the logic behind this claim so you must hate me.

"He need not worry, though, he has all the other news channels in his pocket.... when it's something he does that's disgusting... they never mention it.. but Fox will.... that's why he hates them."
So the President is apparently powerful enough to control the other 20 odd TV networks but not Faux, the lone David facing Goliath?
And these disgusting things you allude to would be exercising the dog and hand holding for the cameras? Even if only for a photo op, kissing babies is a widely accepted method for winning votes.
I seem to remember President Bush at a publicity meet in Germany in 2006 failing to charm an infant and finally giving the screaming baby back to its mother. And in 2011, Michelle Obama passed a crying baby to the President and she immediately calmed down.
They say you can't fool children and dogs.

In that case, take the printer back, do any PP needed on your kids photos, and if you must, pay to have their photos printed at a retail store. A 4x6 on a home printer will cost, in paper and ink, maybe $0.40 to $.50 and stores like Walgreens charge from $0.12 to $0.19 for each shot printed.

Would you like to discuss the meltdown??? Because I am not going to simply take the line that it was Bush's fault, I will however be glad to discuss the CRA and the refinements that took place to the regulation environment in the 90's and early 2000's, I will also be glad to discuss with you the democratic leadership who thwarted all efforts by republicans to look into the mortgage markets beginning with Fanny and Freddie.... I will even be glad to discuss with you the Glass Steagall Act and how it had broken down not in the 2000's but it never really limited the banking investment practices.... Would you care to have that discussion, because I am really tired of the left throwing out talking points with no substantiating facts and expect people to roll over and play dead when it is very clear when evaluating the actual facts the democrats were as responsible if not more so than the republicans for the housing market collapse.
So if you are ready to have that discussion I will be more than willing to oblige you.

Did I say it was all Bush's fault? There's lots of glory to share. Although he did get us into a couple of multi-trillion dollar wars without doing a thing to pay for them, so that certainly counts for something. Nonetheless, the point is simple, and amply demonstrated: The financial institutions need to be regulated to prevent them from risking other people's money irresponsibly. After the Great Depression, such regulations existed, and we did pretty well. When the regulations were removed, we were left teetering on the edge of a second Great Depression, and there are those that will argue we have tipped over into one for all practical purposes. That includes me.

Discuss away.

Spell check works fine on this forum when I type. Does it not work for you? And even if it doesn't, correct spelling is very easy. I learned the basics at primary school. It is only in fairly recent years that standards have slipped, and poor spelling seems to be regarded as an achievement by those who make the mistakes.

Spell check picks up typos for all of us, but cannot correct words like "there" when it should be "their", or "your" when it should be "you're". That is ignorance, in the nicest meaning of the word, ie not knowing. And that sort of ignorance is easily cured.

Mitt is the GOP's least objectionable choice from a group of clowns offered up by party spin doctors. Once again we are being given a persona when the country needs real substance from real candidates (regardless of party) who offer realistic solutions to real problems and not more party polemics. The founding fathers gave us the America we all profess to love. Government grew and it has been down hill ever since. :-(
