you would think that admin would provide the link to the new thread at the end of the old one....hmmmmmmm NOT

Cyan...I like how you made your color and left the lily real and liquified around it....very neat effect....

Swede I did have a grand time in sunny florida but now its back to reality and the cold northeast....

and im feeling lazy so here is a black and white conversion...i was a little disappointed in my florida images...

LostHawaiian: Fireworks is excellent!! My attention is split between that and the last one. Nice to see you posting again.

Creative simon: I appreciate your compliments. Butterflies and birds are a challenge. They never sit still. Butterflies if they do sit usually fold their wings up and so you can’t see the wonderful colors. Both are a challenge. I got my best pictures at the butterfly and bird conservatory in Key West. It was beautiful. Yes I realize that you are easily influenced by Jennifer—it’s hard not to. Friday night reminds me of several things—it could be a light or it looks like one of the long gone Queens with a crown—I’ll stop there.

RiverNan: Nice to see you back. I hope you had as much fun on vacation as we did. I think William crawled down on his back and shot a corpse of trees straight up. I, of course, envy that as the good old arthritis says no to this type of position. Of course anyone who can slide down the river bank and still have here camera should be able to do it also. There are some wonderful possibilities shooting vertical. You have now made the entry into the egghead society—congratulations.

William: I appreciate all your commenting. You come up with the most amazing images from normal everyday things. Fresh meet the minds is well done.

Cyan: Thanks for the compliments! I agree with you on number 4—there are a lot of eyes in it. It’s definitely worth waiting for you to post. The explosion of color is unique and very attractive.

Country’s Mama: Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

JoeV: Welcome to the Special Effects Challenge. We hope you enjoyed your stop and will visit us again. As you can see, we have a lot of fun coming up with different types of image.

Clicker2014: Thanks for commenting. Am I right in the assumption that the tournaments are curling?

LostHawaiian: I’ll give you full credit for coming by and making a quick comment. Enjoy your rest and maybe we’ll see some more great art tomorrow.

JENNIFER: You’re beginning to sound like yourself again. Your comments and artwork certainly indicate that. Spinner is beautiful. Thanks for all the comments

Pgl: We had sunshine today also. I even got out in the yard and pruned some rose bushes. The dragonfly post is beautiful. I like the color combinations. They are a challenge to shoot as they don’t sit still for long. Thanks for the compliments and comments. Orange Glow is unique and very interesting. The center reminds me of a big catfish coming out from underneath a root.

LILY MARLENE: Nice to see you stopping by and commenting. I’ve missed you.

Congratulations to all—we now are in edition #8. Admin caught up with us early this time.

The second one is great cyan, the mix of colors is very uplifting I think this is one of your best. Would be nice if you had ticked 'store original' when posting then I could have a larger picture on screen to have a good look around, maybe next time, have a good weekend, don't work too hard.

I realized I should have done that after I clicked 'send'. I'll send again.

Aloha all,

Trying to get as many PCH entries as possible by 12PM eastern time and just finished plus my arthritis and carpel tunnel is killing me from all this. Will get my med's tomorrow and start working again on my art.
I'll post some soon and try to catch up even though that looks impossible after all I've missed.
From what I have seen everyone's work continues to improve. As William would say "Bravo" to all.

Aloha,L.H.

Hi Lost Hawaiian! Glad to see a post by you and I hope it's not too hard to post more!
#1 (Fireworks in Rough Leather ) is really wonderful! And #3 (Glowing Edges+Rough Leather+Hyper Cube) is also wonderful! It looks like a bounding road going thru....I don't know what...alien fields?

JENNIFER: Page 106—I wasn’t distressed by your comments so don’t despair. I like the color of your post. I hope things are quieting down a little for you and you get time to play.

Creativ simon: Thanks for the comments. You do get very close on the safaris. The guides are careful and do carry a gun—a bolt action Enfield with a five shot magazine if I remember correctly. There are a number of pictures from that trip on my website if you are interested. I see your mind is in the same gutter as Jennifer’s. I don’t think these birds were after the butterflies as they were in the same enclosure. The birds were all vegetarians and ate seeds and fruit. Children and some adults were much harder on the butterflies. I am impressed by Rain!

William: All I can say is WOW!!!

Tooth Maker: Thanks for the compliments and yes we had a wonderful trip. Damaged alien is great!

Clicker2014: I like your fruit post. Hope you had fun at the tournament. Thanks for the compliment. I like the way your butterflies in a globe turned out. I am always looking for ways to post them in art forms without destroying their original beauty.

Cyan: Thanks for the compliment! I figured you would like that one.

Pgl: Pam, I admire your spring flowers. I didn't see that many if Florida and was somewhat disappointed. We did see a lot of birds and crocks though.

RMM: You are a lucky man with a talented and beautiful granddaughter.

Thanks to everyone who took time to look at the posts and comment on others works. It is definitely appreciated.
