I wonder if the mothers of the dead soldiers, sailors and marines Bush led to their death feel the same way as you do. Since the war was initiated on a pack of lies all of those who took up arms were duped, their parents believed that their babies were raised to believe in an idealized vision of this country that has not existed in decades and they paid the ultimate price for nothing...absolutely nothing. Much like you poor saps that fought in Vietnam...you fought for nothing. Now at the time you thought you were saving the world from Communism and I guess the threat might of been real at the time. However, in hindsight we have learned that the endeavor, the war America lost was a waste of money and man power. In order to reduce the wealthy from losing their children in the next conflict the selective service was dismantled and replaced by an all volunteer service. Since then the political powers on both sides of the aisle have struggled to give reason to keep spending money on men and equipment (mostly on equipment) to keep their contributors happy. This latest series of military stunts undertaken by the duly elected has done absolutely nothing to secure our borders and increase the general safety of the citizens. In turn, the returning warriors are treated as poorly as those poor saps coming home from Vietnam. There are no jobs and no health care. Yet the Congress continues to spend money on equipment that will sit idle.

We as a nation need to take a serious appraisal of our current and future military needs and make significant cuts in spending. Since we cannot seem to manage the money allocated with any real responsibilty the purse needs to be closed.
