We are still red! The gov is stating to go a little sideways because he has been in there to long and is starting to feel omnipotent! We may have to activate the shock troops!

CT has been blue longer than the 15 yrs that I have been here.
State congress has sucked the life out of people and even the unions (including the state) is totally fed up with them. We're in a revolution and I strongly feel that the final knock down will be in November.

One case in point is the busway to nowhere, aka 'The Magic Bus'. It is a 9 mile track with 10' walls that was plowed through from New Britain to Hartford. There will be 2 bus runs in the morning and 2-3 at night. It will not be used for anything else the rest of the time. Union jobs is what it was all about and the state union was totally behind the project at the cost of 3 million per mile of borrowed money. But when it was time to start digging, the governor hired a Canadian company to do the job.
He lost the state workers loyalty as well as the business and homeowners who were forced to move to put the busway in.

Get your ass out there and start knocking on doors instead of whining on UHH! Be a Paul Revere! Kapesh?

Have been on the trail for months doing just that.
And from what I hear from people, a revolution is about to happen for CT.

And so, in the meantime, while we are arguing and spitting venom at each other, NOTHING BUT NOTHING gets accomplished. All we do is spew hatred and wish the other dead.

How much lower can we go? People, compromise is all we have. If we can't come to some agreements that benefit the MAJORITY of our citizens, then pray tell, what are we good for?

As long as we insist that OUR view, and ours alone, is the right one and everyone else's is wrong, then we will be stuck in this mire, and soon enough, we will sink to the bottom and drown in it.

Is that what we want to happen? Because it certainly will. See examples from all over the planet.

I understand what you are saying. However, in football terms, conservatives are setting on our 25yd line while the opposition are deep in their end zone. Where do you think each side will be setting after equal compromise ??
Is that where you think good things come from for us ??

Well I for one am not very happy with one of our Senators down here. We managed to put one in Washington that actually has a "pair" between his legs, but that other one, ? ? ? Sometimes I think his pair is between his lips!

We have 2 in the Senate that aren't worth talking about let alone talking to one of them.

This just goes to show conservatives haven't any concern for living children. Children are are murdered, raped, kidnapped and starving all over the world just goes to show the inanity of your feelings toward the children.

Our only concern about the kids is that they tend to become people like you.

Knew it was only a matter of time before someone brought up our president in a negative manner. hate to tell you, but you still have over two years to go before you can elect your new solution to the post.

Your leader jumped into the negative pool all by himself and chooses to stay.
Therefore, he is synonymous with negativity and nobody can evade it when talking about him except the liberal media and his minions.
And yes, we have a long 2 years to keep fighting back the lawlessness of the regime.

He gets paid to push Obummercare.
They know that nobody has benefited from it as not 1 person has met the deductible let alone met a doctor that accepts it.

Obviously you have a problem with our laws.
Therefore, you should go with Obummer back to whatever country he came from and deal with their laws or lack of.

I was referring to your statement: "We as people have no business telling others how to live as long as they don't interfere with our rights as stated by the Bill of Rights." You seem to spend a great deal of time telling other people what to do.

Give me an example of where I told someone what to do.

I have been telling people that the federal government has no place in dealing with domestic policies. Its purpose is for foreign policies, which are failing miserably. Therefore, laws created by them telling us how to live are outside of their boundaries.
Laws that are needed to keep chaos under control are to be done at the state and local level.

I do wish that you would remember that.

Why would I forget it ??
The Constitution states specifically what the role of government is and what its limitation is.

The first step in fixing a problems is to recognize, learn from, and avoid past mistakes. Invest in infrastructure, and public education. End corporate welfare. As for history: Who was it that caused the great depression? And who was it that lifted us out of the great depression? And how did we recover from the great depression? And who was it that started the space program. The program that fueled virtually all of today's technological revolution? And which President was it that left our country with a huge surplus when he left office? My friend, you need to reacquaint yourself with recent US history. The FACT is that historically our economy has done much better under Democratic Presidents than under Republican Presidents. Why do you suppose that is?

I suppose it's that you're looking at things from the wrong end of the horse. You're living the past and not watching what is happening now. The current regime are neither democrat nor republican. They are DINOs who want you to think they are doing something good for you.
The complete opposite is happening while they lie to your face telling you 'all is well' while our country is crumbling all around us. They feel they are above the law and can rewrite it as they see fit without congress. That alone is unconstitutional without getting into the foreign policy circus.
