I have the same problem. I have a tripod with a reversable center column. The camera hangs inverted between the tripod legs. The viewer can be tilted for composition of the shot. This leaves both hands free for holding strobes and remote release. I have also added a ttl cable between camera and flash for some shots. This solution was born out of bending limitations of back surgery. There is always a way!

Thank you for the comments, Aneas. I tried to capture the actual colors and densities of the flowers. I try to get it right in the camera and make minimal corrections in pp.
Thanks Einreb92 for stopping by. Glad you liked them.
Thank you rob48. Glad you enjoyed them.
I was experimenting with close-ups, macros, and focus stacking in-camera (EM-1). These are some of the images. Any constructive ideas?
I have the EM-1 and the Oly Pro 14-40 2.8 is my every day, walk-around lens. It is very sharp, fast focusing, f/2.8 throughout the zoom range and a real pleasure to use. Since I do a lot of flowers and other close-ups, my second favorite is the Oly 60mm macro, a real gem. In-camera focus sracking only works with select Oly lenses and the 60 macro is one of them.
I switched from DSLR to mirrorless for its light weight and compactness, both important as age advances. The technical quality of the images is better than any other camera I have owned. I find the evf is excellent for macro work. And I love the in-camera focus stacking. The size and quality of the pixels on the sensor can be as important as the gross number of pixels, IMO.
I have printed 16 x 20 from me EM-1. Could probably go a little larger for reasonable viewing distance.
I shoot with the EM-1 exclusively and love it. Paired with an Oly Pro lens it produces very high quality images. Unless your wive is a highly proficient photographer I would go for the EM-1 and save some money for the lenses. I looked at upgrading to mk ll but could not justify the cost. But that's just me. The mk ll is a fine camera but a good used EM-1 could save some money. BTW, the latest firmware update now offers in-camera focus stacking along with other enhancements. I use that freqently in macro work. I w
I have an HP 7250 photosmart printer. Its default is to set this feature on. Has anyone encountered this problem and found a way to change the default or delete it altogether? Operating system is Windows 7 64 bit. Any ideas are appeciated.
