A nice set, but that last one is great, Teens can be very smart, if they use their energies for constructive things.

This is my first post under the new format so I hope this is all ok.
The first two are from an area up in the mountains near Albuquerque. They have seen better days.
The last is from a trip to Mesa Verde Indian ruins. Abandoned when times and likely lack of water became too hard to support the village.
What amazes me is that the age of the Anazazi at that time was thought to be less than 30. Basically built by teenagers.

That might be nice, if they plan to perverse it. Might be bad if they just fence it off and let it rot.

THis bridge is abandoned although it does not look like it. If you cross it right at the end, maybe ten feet away is a NO TRESPASSING...PRIVATE PROPRTY sign. Someone bought up the whole area there and blocked the road.

Nice lines in this unusual POV. I hope whoever didn't move all the way to heave (or otherwise). Provokes lots of questions.

Are those native rocks used to build it? They are beautiful. Nice captures.

Yes, they are beauties for sure. Glad you keep finding them. Sorry about the one I posted today. I found it on my laptop and it was so small, I thought it was straight, now I see that it needs to be straightened.

The first one really looks abandoned and left to rot away. How sad. Thanks for sharing.

Undoubtedly a nice home in its younger days. In the 3rd image you can see through the front door to a pane of glass on the back wall. Very old glass as told by the waves in the pane, probably an original.

I t doesn't look like anyone has sat there in along time. Maybe the stick was for beating off varmints.

Really interesting place. Looks like that family had a dog. I'll bet the varmints love the leftover dog food. Scary!

What I see here is a series of questions. Was the guy in chair trying to return after whatever might have passed in their lives? Was it the deceased who estranged the fellow in the chair? Is the fellow in the chair trying to talk to him? To seek forgiveness or even ask why? Is he trying to forgive and reconnect? I do not know because the guy in the chair is me and fellow in the ground is Gerard Huard, whom I did not know. But yes there is a Gerard Huard in my life too. Abandoning can last a lifetime
