I currently have the 24mm f/2.8 and the 50mm f/1.8. All NIKKOR.
I need/want either the 85mm or 105mm to better fill the frame. I do not do portraits, but do cityscape, landscape, etc.
Help me with my decision please.

I recently purchased this lens from a Japanese dealer on EBay. It is spotless and works perfectly. Minimal use. Works perfectly. No dust. No fungus. No scratches. No haze. No separation.
Optics perfect. IQ is wonderful.

Pictures are from original listing. More are available.

I wanted this lens to work for me, but at my age I simply cannot deal with the size and weight of any such lenses and will be shooting prime lenses only.

Package includes lens, both end caps, the HB-36 lens hood and a JJC lens case. $250 shipped (CONUS ONLY).
You will not be disappointed!

Just received my AF-S NIKKOR 70-300 f/4.5-5.6G. Listed as Near Mint.
This lens looks as if never used. Not a mark and functions perfectly!
Will definitely use the seller again.
Delivery: eight days order to my door!

Bought two for $4
Junk! Supposed to be Nikon F mount. Nope.
Sort of like buying a lottery ticket. No win.

Totally disagree with the technocrats out there , it is refreshing to use a older design all manual lens , it is a little like driving a older classic car .

I thought the same thing. And, unless it is pathetic IQ, it would be fun to see what I could squeeze out of it.

No reason to get this lens when you have the excellent Nikon 70-300 VR.

Pretty much seems the case. Thanks

Has anyone tried this old fully manual lens on a Nikon D700?
Already have the AF-S Nikon 70-300 VR but wondering if the Tamron would give me any plus points (focus distance?)
Cheap copy here ($6). Worth that for some fun or is it a doorstop?

Heres something kinda strange about MPB, I searched KEH for some cameras then MPB, they were the same sites with just different company names at the top, search engines , prices, products.

Never the same when I look and prices can vary greatly. A recent lens I wanted showed none on KEH, MPB had 7 (fair to LN).

I have purchased much used photography items from MPB. My satisfaction level on speed of delivery, great product quality/ratings has been very high.
However, that has drastically changed this week.
Last week I ordered a Nikon lens. Acknowledgement and charge was prompt. Then, no shipping information was received. I finally emailed to see why the delay. A day later I received an email stating that they needed to call me to gather further information (???). No call came as of today. Four days, no call! DONE! Order cancelled and refund requested. Just sloppy, lax and pathetic customer concern and care. Sad.
Per some recent advice here, I ordered a “mint” lens today from a Japanese seller on eBay. Shipping info was in my email box it two hours.
