Dave, I appreciate your post and admire you for all the efforts and work and practice it takes to not only know what you are carrying but know you can use it effectively.
I am not in bear country but am a gun enthusiast. I do have a dental practice on the edge of a sketchy part of town and am close to a liquor store (nicknamed "Bate shops") just waiting to get robbed. I know a woman with a concealed carry permit that has an old purse she uses to practice shooting. She uses this purse to shoot from. Her hand is in the purse holding the gun and she shoots the target through the purse. She practices weekly. She knows she can hit her target accurately and effectively. Her theory is that if her hand stays in the purse they are not expecting any immediate action or that she has it on mace or pepper spray or her phone. They aren't worried unless the hand starts to come out. Too late.
I've bookmarked this for future reference. Thank you!
I try to do everything in camera and have the picture ready with very little post processing. So I can spend all my free time in post processing deleting the spots from my lens that I am too lazy to take in and get cleaned. Priorities.
Beautiful capture! Wish I knew.
Wow, he is fluffy! Great captures!
Great timing and capture!
