Tough subject! Excellent shots!
Great shots! Gotta love the D500!
Thanks everyone for taking time to look and for all the kind comments!
I along with several other photographers have been photographing fox kits at 2 separate den locations. Both locations are easily accessible, one next to a bicycle/walking path, the other next to a local reserve but on private property. Long telephoto lenses required not to disturb their natural activities. However, the den next to the bike path is subject to walkers with dogs and although dogs must be leashed, many owners simply ignore the rules and their dogs will on occasion chase the foxes. Some simply have no concern for wildlife. Sorry to rant. Anyway, here are some photos….please enjoy!
Nice shots! It hard to shoot Harriers since they’re always on the move.
Thanks everyone for taking time to look. Glad you enjoyed the pictures!
The Great Blue Heron was only about 40 feet away struggling with a large trout. It attempted to swallow the fish several times but was not able to. I think the trout was just too heavy for the Heron to lift it high enough above its head to let it slide down its throat. It left without a dinner…
Yea, that’s an American Dipper
The big question is whether the Z7 line will survive in the long run considering that Nikon will be releasing a Z8 (maybe) soon ( maybe)…( way to much confusion/speculation)…
Really nice shot of what life is like living in such old cities. Taormina is actually in Sicily! Although Sicily is included as part of Italy, the Italians, as a slam on Sicily, think of it to be part of Africa….
Outstanding set of images. I assume the first shot is a Prairie Falcon? The female Harrier and the roughy are hard shots to get! All are amazing.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. These juvenile eagles will be around for a while until the Osprey return during the first week in April. Then there will be a war for territorial dominance!
After watching this eagle remain motionless for several hours yesterday, it finally decided to go after a duck on the water. You can see the splash of water as the duck ducked (lol) under the water to escape. The eagle continued looking for the duck and then flew back to its original perch.
Thanks everyone for your kind comments! Very much appreciated!
