The best places in the park, West side (Many Glaciers), Going to the Sun Road and North Fork. Looks like you only need the permits through Sept. 8th, so you may be okay. Last weekend my son was planning a trip there, and I looked it up for him since he didn't know.

Many glacier is East side. North of St Mary’s.

I'm not a gun enthusiast, so go ahead tell me hpw stupid I am. But do you have an solution... or are you as stupid as me?

Not really is the correct answer. But what you want to do is stop people from shooting each other. The trite statement that “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people” is as old as guns and without the reference to killing is as old as mankind—no as old as primates. Perhaps you could enforce the current laws. Perhaps you could examine who is doing the shooting—statistically urban gang involved young men from single family homes. A critical examination of international statistics on gun violence unbiased by political ideology. The statistical relationship between poverty and violence might be useful. So that we can further understand violence we might want to look into the value given to life. If killing unborn children is ok then why isn’t killing already born children or adults? Do violent video shooter games or role playing games cause killing? Not likely by themselves but it takes a lot of sand to make a beach. The education system denies school choice and encourages indoctrination is one of those grains of sand. When 3rd world countries open the gates of their mental health asylums and release their criminal and point them towards the US doesn’t make us safer from gun violence. You’d think we would have learned the lesson of the Marial Boat debacle. If you can come up with a solution for any of these problems you may have less fear an inanimate object. You aren’t dumb or stupid to find a simple solution to a mind boggling problem. I have no idea where you live but if it’s not an urban setting you probably don’t personally know anybody that has committed violence with a gun or been a victim of gun violence. If you do you could probably substitute gun with knife, frying pan, fist, boot, baseball bat or loosen and get the same killer and dead person. Your relationship with violent crime is most likely to be from news reports from ideological talking heads masquerading as journalists. So what is your solution? What one thing can you do to solve the problem of hopelessness in the hood?

SO many people fall for it though.
"I didn't buy that, I better call them and get the charge reversed"...
And THAT's what they are counting on people doing.

Sorry, I meant no harm. I thought double dog dare and a smiley face were dead giveaways.

I worked there for the NPS and grew up nearby. September is a perfect time to go. I used to spend an anniversary weekend in early October and have been there during every month. Any road you drive and any trail you hike will provide photo opportunities. I am partial to the East side of the park because of the long vistas. The trees aren’t as thick. Many Glacier mentioned earlier is a favorite. We called it “Many Bears” because they like that area. Camping there was hard side only, no tents. I didn’t have enough money for a telephoto back then. It was a day hike to Iceberg lake and the continental divide. Lots of goats in the high country back then and I assume still are. Jon Erdman (so) on this site would be a source for current info. He posts some fabulous photos here. Also Cindy Houk. Lots of guidebooks available I suspect. The going to the Sun road should still be open. We used to talk with people from the flatlands who were terrified of the drive. You may want to take part of the vacation in Canada at Watertown National park, the analog to Glacier but in Canada. Don’t forget the passport if you want to go up there. Enjoy, it is a spectacular place

10 to 1 it was recycled toll free or hokey.

If one never did business with them prior, how would they charge your "account"? They never say which one.
How can they something "renew" if you never had it before?
Established companies never send email from Gmail.
If you can, check the header information for where it originated, they're mostly from servers outside of the USA.

The first time this occurred years ago I checked our cards, NOTHING... I just started marking them as spam.

Everyone is saying scam, but maybe not. Did you at any time in the last year seek advice for a computer problem? You may have thought you were getting free advice or a one-time service payment of say 19.99. Somewhere in your dealings with the company, you checked a box that said you agreed to their terms without reading what those terms were. The terms were that you would be billed at the normal yearly rate for the following year. I've had this happen a couple of times and have been refunded on all but one occasion.

A company had a special for hosting a website for 29.99. A year later they sent me a notice that my hosting fee went through for 99.99. I had never set the website up and did not plan to continue. When I contacted the company they cancelled the account but only at the end of a year and there was no refund for the paid year. There are a lot of companies out there that will pull this auto-billing scheme and while it is not illegal, it is unethical. I never agree to terms unless I read through them now and always make sure the auto-renewal is turned off. I make a copy of this and keep it because there have been cases where an overzealous salesperson signs up people to collect a commission.

On the other hand, it could simply be a scam!

Watched “The Bee Keeper” last night. The movie starts out with scammers who empty the entire life savings of a retired woman, a friend of Jason Stratham, a beekeeper. If you are violence averse you will hate it but if you know Jason’s work you know what to expect and may find it exciting. Even my wife who hates violence in films liked it.

The volunteer survey was in an investing forum that generally has useful information and as I later said it had very strange groups and was very unscientific.

Talking to friends at the gym I attend that is mainly made up of powerlifters, body builders, runners and very fit people who own small business, work assembling trucks, selling medium duty trucks to furniture tell me to the margin of expenses to income has gone down. The bright spot is a 24 year who sales $100 to $300 K houses who had a Million in sales in January. People are being told company sales are down. Hours are being reduced. These people are not happy with economy.

I would assume the interest rate for home loans has a negative impact on the housing. My grandson bought a house two years ago but couldn’t make the payments if he bought it today. Our housing prices are bargains compared to the east side of Washington and even here $300k buys a modest tract house, 100 k would be nearly uninhabitable. It is said that the economy is bad if you feel the economy is bad. Most ( more than half) people feel it’s bad right now.
