I feel really good seeing uniquely composed photos related to the vast rural areas that span America from sea to shining sea. Let's start a string of nothing but Farm Related Photos.

To get us started, here are three photo taken this summer at a county fair. They bring back memories of way back in the last century, when I was 10 years old I began driving an little old Allis Chalmers tractor, helping my father till the land.

How many miles ya got on that thing now? LOL!!
Good for you and your Bride!!
Well, we were on the road for 18 months straight from 2005 to 2007. That's when we decided to move from VA to TX. We are typically on the road half-time. Have no idea how many miles on this one--our second Airstream. We have been to all 50 states and most of the CN provinces. We didn't take it to HI, however. :>)

You will! Meanwhile, Chick, I've saved one photo just for you. It truly is a landscape if you are a piglet.

I like 'em too, and I no longer eat them. I have not beliefs about that, except for me a vegetarian diet keeps the weight off, and I know it's healthier.
quote=hipfarmchick quote=Citation quote=hipfarm... (show quote)

Sure!! I eat in moderation on everything!! Good for you..I'm not sure if I will ever be vegetarian all the way unless my health requires it!!! God Bless!

Man, lil' Teddy is really growing from that avatar pic you use now and then, my favorite. He's a fine looking puppy, different from our Mollie, but also similar. I can't get all that comfortable talkin' about how purty a bull is but he has a nice eyeball.

This dog looks like he is either scared, or being teased with a steak - what are you doing to that lil feller or gal?

It's called "anticipation." Waiting on me to play with her but that's her normal look. She is very alert. A gal, "Mollie." We're big ball playin' and frisbee buddies and I had a tennis ball playing with her and was giving her a little obedience training. She is the brightest critter I've ever seen. We play soccer too. I don't even give her treats. Her treat is to get to play. She brings me a ball at least 100 times a day and always has a stuffed toy in her mouth to protect herself from getting hit. Mollie is absolutely amazing as I'm sure Chick's pup Teddy is too.
quote=Janice quote=gessman br br Man, lil' Ted... (show quote)

We refer to that as the Border Collie eye.
quote=gessman quote=Janice quote=gessman br b... (show quote)

Here its the working eye!! Yep the same thing!! it is just that!!! Pepper does Like anything with balls,and water.. stock all the time ..she will play in the sprinklers all day..Ted he is after the cattle already..I am in the process of trainin just yesterday I taught him to Lie down. sit then lie down . He is only just 6 mo.They are so smart..THE smartest and when you talk and they twist their heads to listen, its so great!!
My other BC Bailei she got My sons Diapers for me out of the stacker in his room..it was cool.I play shoot ...and she falls dead still looking at me and I shoot her again and she lays her head down..funny!! then when I say That'll do.. UP she comes!!
quote=Country's Mama quote=gessman quote=Janice... (show quote)

Unfortunately my poor Clyde dog has next to no instinct for herding and is afraid of sheep anyway. He is very smart though and has done some freestyle as well as his therapy dog work. I just tell him lap and he lays his head in their lap. Though he is a bit of a dope, everyone loves him. This is what you get for buying your border collie from someone selling puppies at a parade. I know. I know! I have heard it all from my dog trainer sister.
:?

We love him anyway and he is making progress in his triebball class, though the Chihuahua is doing better.
quote=hipfarmchick quote=Country's Mama quote=g... (show quote)

You're funny CM. Clyde's a good looking dog. My oldest son got Mollie out of a box of pups outside a thrift store - a freebie. She's been herding our youngest granddaughter Chloe since Chloe was 2. That's been interesting to watch and Chloe, now 5, is beginning to take charge now, slowly.
quote=Country's Mama quote=hipfarmchick quote=C... (show quote)

It sounds like you got a good one out of that box.
Clyde is a good looking dog, but he is huge (65+ lbs) and a big dope. He has a hard time keeping his excitement in check. He is going to be 5 this spring and he still can't walk calmly into the nursing home. He get so excited about seeing his friends. They think it's great. I think it is undignified. :oops: We are just lucky that most of the staff likes him. No other facility would have him. :roll: does know how to put his toys away and he will bring me just about anything I ask him to.
quote=gessman quote=Country's Mama quote=hipfar... (show quote)

Its funny with Borders thast the age( 5 )when they will start calming..thats the way Borders are ..big change at 2 at 4 and 5. Borders have to have some kind of Job
they love to work. He is liked and knows it so he is reacting to the energy he knows is going to be put out (all the love from everyone)he is excited!! He is Gorgeous!!
quote=Country's Mama quote=gessman quote=Countr... (show quote)

Lets hope he calms down. He has been going since he was 6 months old. He has improved since then. It is funny but all of us, handlers included, are exhausted after an hour visit. The energy in the car-4 dogs total 2 people-is greatly reduced on the trip home. :-P
quote=hipfarmchick quote=Country's Mama quote=g... (show quote)

Oh I'm sure..They are energized and feed off of you and other Dogs..but mostly you! Most of the time we do not recognize that we are giving anxiety out ..but it is with any animal. It will get better! 4 dogs wow We have 3 and they all sack out when in the truck with us!! dogs napping everywhere...LOL
