These are looking very similar to Photophile's.......Guess from Ohio to Nebraska are pretty close! ♥
From the Cowboy Trail in Nebraska at Norfolk. These are all along the Elkhorn River at TaHaZouka Park. .....
It's 10 miles to Battle Creek and another 30 to Neligh plus another 25 to O'Neill. Get on your bike & GO!
Not sure all the distance is cement though???
I really like the one with the curves ahead sign! Makes my head spin. Great pictures.

These are the last two shots I got before my little Sony died. I'll need to fully rely on my Nikon Bridge Camera now.
I love droplets on flowers; beautiful photos!

Considering it was taken inside and through a screen, this is good, Anne! Hard to tell what it is from the back, but maybe a mockingbird???
I think it probably is a mockingbird, since we have so many of them here. Thank you for viewing and encouragement. My hope is to get more efficient with my camera and earning its "in's" and "out's". I just know I am getting so much joy fro the journey.
I just re-read the kind welcome. Thank you all. The hardest thing for me is: when I view all the awesome images that different ones post... it makes me wonder why am I here?
Is it my camera? *LOL* Logically I know it's not. It's me, the operator of the camera. Even with a Nikon B700 or a Pentax Q7, I should be able to take better pictures.
Anyway, I'll just trudge along and learn a little at a time! Thanks for letting me be here!
I didn't think of a catbird. Thanks Carol. It was fun to watch him or her, whichever it is. I didn't realize birds move and change positions so quickly. But I enjoy watching them.

I love trail pics and yours are all beautiful!
The are a few favorites on my phone.
The first is the birch alley at Stan Hywet in Akron, Ohio.
The second is the same but at Christmas.
Third is a beach near Tampa. (Where I'd like to be. 😊)
The fourth is the Summit County MetroPark in Monroe Falls, Ohio.
Lovely! I was drawn to the fourth one. I think it was the clouds. So pretty.
I recently bought a Nikon P900, and before returning it (as it was just too heavy for me), I took this picture. Seated in my comfy lawn chair, watching the birds through the well-worn screen on my back porch. I was surprised that I could take a photo through the screen. I think I know what kind of bird it is, but not sure?
Thank you all for a lovely welcome. I'm taking some deep breaths, and very soon will be taking the first step in posting some of my photos. Your encouragement is very much appreciated!
Hello,
I am a grandma, who wants to be a good photographer... but most of all I want to enjoy the process. When I was about 12, my mother gave me a Kodak Brownie. I loved that camera. Over the years I have experimented with various cameras, none of the professional kind.
Recently I bought a Nikon P900. It was awesome, but too heavy for me, so I returned it and bought a Nikon B700. This was much lighter in weight. I've only had it for about a week, and I noticed some things I wish it could do. But for now, this is going to be my companion.
Oh and I have a cute little Pentax Q7. Love that camera!
So far, my photos haven't felt up to snuff... so even though I've wanted to post some images, I feel a little awkward about it.
Maybe I'll just post them under the heading: these images are from "Anneglo, the wannabe."

Yes they were cropped. I don't have the originals. However, I usually try and crop with Rule of 3rds in mind, but in this case I was so zoomed in and focused right on the eagle that there really wasn't enough room around him to make that composition.
A couple days after I took these photos, my husband and I were on our way out of town and I "did" have my camera with me. Again, my husband saw a couple eagles in a tree and we turned around so I could try and capture shots again. This time I did crop like the way you suggested. This one was more of a challenge because he was in a tree and I didn't have that sharp blue sky background, but am still pleased with my efforts.

I really like this one with the eagle in the tree!

He was on my fence. Mockingbird
So beautiful. I don't think I'll ever get a clear, focused picture like this. Very nice!
Did you use a tripod?

Admittedly, I am your typical point, focus and shoot type of person. Don't often wonder out of my comfort zone when it comes to taking pictures. Well, yesterday I decided to try some new things. These are some of what I ended up with. I guess you can teach a old dog new tricks. lol
Well, I'm new here (not a pro by any stretch of the imagination), and my mouth dropped open when I saw the first one ... love it! Oh, and the last one... awesome.
