Some say the majority of Hoggers are nice and not to snarky some say the opposite, after reading this and many other recent replies/dissertation I say many of your are just plain self righteous, pompous asses. Just once I would like someone to simply answer the OPs question or shut the F**k up and keep your snarky remarks to yourselves.
Does anyone know the name/Species of this _DSC2067.JPG
My apologies I misread his initial statement I thought he was afraid of ruining his original photo and I just thought if someone could show him how to a save one and work on another, He wouldn't have to worry about ruining the photo thank you for this observation
could someone tell him how to make a copy so that he could play with them as much as he wants and not ruin the original
CW it would would better if people would treat one another with respect from the onset, as they would like to be treated. And sad but telling of how this site is, can be perceived by others . Which I'm sure is understood by the thoughtful ones here, and the Snarkey ones, may never get it, Maybe someday?
If I wanted to add to this or any other particular thread how would I do so?
I wasn't thinking when I sent out the original, as I was actually thinking about the moon movement.
I want to thank each and every one of you for your responses time and effort. Rain is forecasted for this evening, so may not be able to do it again but I'll see what happens, It allows me to get out of the house while here under shelter in place in California. And please before you comment I drive-in my own car With no passengers and no stops. I park the car in a virtually empty parking lot. walk on to an open area touching nothing, other than with my feet and the closest person I saw yesterday was no one.
For those of you who have are better understanding of sunrises/sets, do you know where the sun will be tomorrow at about the same time/ or is it an hour later. Will the sun be in about the same spot or? trying to get better shots tomorrow evening, one day difference
.
Thank you
You can't go wrong with the D 500, I had a similar situation and went from the 5300 to the D 500.
I just did something similar to what you're trying to accomplish, And found the best way to do it, Create the new destination folders on your new external hard drive, Then open each folder on your existing drive and you will have to drag and highlight all of the photos with in that folder, And then drag them to the new location on the external drive. I found the Max I could do at any one time was about 10000 photos but you're often better if you can keep it in the 2000 to 4000 range. But if you exceed the limit that you computer will do, it it will tell you.
