Tomorrow if no one is interested in the combo, I will consider offers on body or lens only.

Bought new USA copy in June 2018 Canon 77D with EF-S 18-135 IS USM lens. Added the Canon EW-73D lens hood. Included is the Canon charger, lens caps, body cap. Also original box we got it in and printed owners manual. We paid $1199.99 and will sell entire kit for $690 shipped 48 states. Last photo taken was #5458 and we have never reset the counter, so I assume that is shutter count. Just barely broken in! This is Donna's body and lens, and she was ever so careful with it. Never out in dust or rain and never dropped. It will not disappoint. She shot with it until she received her new camera and lens about a month ago. It takes very sharp photos. Will accept personal check and ship after it clears, or paypal with you adding the 3% paypal fee, with immediate shipping. Any questions, please ask by PM or on thread.

I had pre-ordered two Canon R7 bodies the day it was announced. I was told a week before no problem. Day before release seller said they only got 2 body only of 60 ordered and no idea how long until more . We ended up ordering the next day two kits(different seller) with plans to sell one lens and keep the other, as we own a EF 18-135 lens in great condition and very sharp. After getting the two kits and shooting with them, we have decided to keep both 18-150's and sell the 18-135 with a 77D we need to get listed for sale. New kit lens is very light, seems sharp and has a great range (same as 29-240mm) in a light kit. So I would recommend getting the kit and enjoy.

Adobe supported the R7 the day it was released in Lightroom, Photoshop and Camera Raw if you updated your product to the latest version.

I've owned this lens. It's well-built and a great performer. But, have you considered the equally excellent and newer EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM? This non L lens isn't white painted, is missing the red ring, is smaller, a lot lighter, and best of all: delivers excellent images with Canon's newest IS assistance.

Donna bought this lens, EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS II USM new a few years ago. Her images held up fine against my EF 100-400 ISII. Great advise Paul has given you. Light, and very fast auto-focus. Will not regret it.

It is just as good if not a little better on the R5. I used it for a while on mine before getting the RF100-500. I had a family member who really wanted the 100-400 and that was all the excuse I needed to upgrade. Zero reason it would not play well on the R7 also.

Hi Fran,
My thoughts are two fold. Those are big, heavy lens. Too heavy for me. So I can not help on those. But, I like my RF100-500. It also plays very well with the RF 1.4. I also like the RF 800mmf11. Great for perched birds. Not great in my hands for BIF. Also plays very well with the RF1.4. If I had owned the 100-500 first, I probably would not have bought the 800. Going to keep both at this time. Both have a place for me at this time. Something else to consider, as you are focal length challenged on your main subjects, is the just released R7. 1.6 crop frame. I have had one too short a time to say for sure, but it is really looking good to me. You can see some examples of what I have got on all these combos, R5 and R7 on my Flicker page if you like. https://www.flickr.com/photos/dj63401/

I have read that an adapter is needed to use a legacy flash on the R7. I have an 550EX I intend to put on an R7 when I get it. Has anyone tried using an older flash on the R7 without an adapter?

I answered your other post about this subject several hours before you wrote this one. Maybe my answer did not relate because I use a knock off. In case you did not read all the replys to your first post on this subject, here is what I wrote.

"I also read the manual before I got the R7. I thought an adapter would be needed also. I went to a R7-R10 preview by Canon/USA at Schiller's in STL.I asked the Canon rep about that. He looked surprised, took the shoe off the flash and said, it has the 5 prongs so you should not need one.
I just tried my Yongnuo YN600EX-RT II on my R7 and it worked fine. It is a knockoff of the Canon 600EX-RT II.
Try your flash before you buy an adaptor.
Disclaimer......I do not do a lot of flash photography."

I am on the waiting list for a Canon R7. The kind folks a Canon were kind enough to send me a link to download the user's manual to review while I wait.

In reading it I find I need an adapter for my flash as well as for my old lenses.

More than a year ago, Canon Rumors claimed that Canon was going to launch a camera (R7) with its APS-C sensor, but it was said it not to work with all RF lenses. Is this true?
It does not make sense to me that Canon would restrict the usage of Canon RF lens on the R7.

Question: Would one be better off with EF with a control ring or a RF lens with a control ring on the R7?

Thank you in advance,
Jim

I have used EF lenses on my R7 with no issues. If you have the budget, the Rf lens are mostly better than their Ef counterpart. The control ring allows all your EF lens to work. Slightly more weight and length. But the Ef on a R body are great also. The inexpensive RF lens I have tried or my SO has tried have been very good optically. RF800F11, RF-S 18-150, RF 100-400. The one Rf expensive lens I have used, the RF 100-500 , is spectacular!
Enjoy!

Hi,

Checked before and just now.

Don't see it.

This is a small phone, and doesn't always show all the links. I will check on a regular computer when I go to the library.

Thanks,
