I remember seeing a documentary several years back where, someplace in Africa, there was a nearly dried up watering hole (summer heat or drought ???) clogged by hippos and crocs - - the hippos left the crocs alone as long as the crocs left hippo babies alone - - which they tended to do - - a shared agreement for mutual survival.
