Also a large number of East Indians served with the Japanese Army. They were a group that wanted an independent India after the war. Bose formed the Indian Legion and they were first formed by Germany but fought with Japan in Burma.

Didn't the SCOTUS rule a few years ago that it is not a problem if politicians lie. I do not recall the specific case but I do remember that I was somewhat shocked at the ruling. Perhaps a juris doc out there can tell us about it.

I agree completely with Mark. No talent and potty mouth describes "performers" today. Still I usually have a TV on for noise, while I read a book. Sometimes though when National Geographic Channel is on I will stop reading and watch for awhile.

I well remember the fluoroscopy units in the shoe stores and I was a sucker for them. I could not walk past one. Had I only known. Thyroid cancer in 1990 with subtotal thyroidectomy and Iodine 131 ablation. Such is life.

All vehicles have their good points and bad points. EVs have some of the best and worst. Hard to keep warm in winter and decreased range, also time to recharge. I have a hybrid that gets 45 miles to the gallon. 10 gal. tank gets me 400 to 450 miles (not the best) but I am happy with that. History seems to show that on my vehicle the battery will last about 200,000 miles and that is very good. It is my opinion that for now that may be the best solution for transportation. In a few years total electric may be better but that will take more development and discoveries.

When McDonald Douglas used Boeing's money to buy Boeing they took over the Commercial end of the business and Boeing kept the Military end. Boeing has done a good job with the military end. On the civil end the engineers were devalued and many left. The bean counters took control and some things went down hill. Things got outsourced and we have all seen the results. Frankly this is a result of the Federal Government encouraging Boeing to take over McDonald Douglas when they got in financial trouble.

Yes but she did have a whole bunch of classified documents on her home server and nothing was done about it. And she did destroy 33,000 documents that were under a court order that she said were personal documents and there was no confirmation that they actually were. Compare her actions with President Trumps over classified documents and how the two were treated. She was not locked up and at this point neither should President Trump. His tax records have not been established as criminal at this point and until they are and he is convicted at a trial he is innocent of wrong doing.

Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) of the House Ways and Means Committee said that Trump’s tax returns suggest that he had tens of millions of dollars in unsubstantiated claims. Lock him up

Sorry but you do not lock up people over "may have or suggests." If he did yes lock him up. If he did not, do not lock him up. The IRS will or should have determined all that.

I summer in WA. and winter in AZ. In WA the light weight shopping bags are outlawed, the heavy weight are 8 cents a bag. In AZ the light weight bags are still used. In WA I used to give the used light weight bags to the food bank. Now I use cloth bags there. In AZ I save the light weight bags and when I get back to WA give them to my daughter who uses them for doggy bags. The very few paper bags that I get I save and use to mail packages and for book covers like I did in grade school.

Funny; I owned two TDs and 1951 and a 1953. The 51 was red and the 53 was a bronze color. They were fun to drive and if you folded the windshield down a half case of beer would fit on it. You could throw the empties over your head and out of the car. Yes I was young and stupid. They were the only 4 cylinder cars that I knew of that would start and run on one cylinder. They would only go about 15 mph on one cylinder. However the Lucas electrics were something else. If I remember correctly they only had 3 fuses in the electric system. But they did have a crank to start it if needed. Wish I still had them or at least one of them.

I have 8 LED flashlights I bought from Costco several years ago. The have one LED and use 4 AAA batteries and I use rechargeable in them. They all work excellently and have caused no problems. I have one in each of our cars and my wife has two and I have two. I seem to remember they were $19.00 for 4 of them.

I spent 28 yrs in the Army and never heard of a C130 called a Black Bird. After I retired I was a CAP search pilot and Cadet orientation pilot. During a search mission I and another civilian pilot were waiting for a search grid assignment and while talking together he said he had been a Black Bird pilot in the AF. I said a SR71 pilot and he said no, a C130 black bird pilot. I thought he was lying about his service. Now after all this posting I think I bum beefed the guy. I guess I owe him an apology.
