You don't mention what brand/model of camera you have. Most cameras allow BOTH deletion of a single photo AND deletion of selected groups of photos IN CAMERA. Read your (fine) manual. Regards, Ralph

Probably should have been more explicit. When on vacation am at the mercy of the iPad, so Lightroom is not an option. Camera is aD7100. What I am looking to do is import the photos from the SD card into the IPad for larger viewing and discard any unwanted photos on the card to free up space. As I mentioned each time I access the photos on the card the photos app reads every photo, not just new ones which take a great amount of time.

Does anyone know of an IPad app that will selectively delete in camera photos It appears that when images are imported from the camera the only option is to delete all photos stored on the card. When import is selected in the Apple photos app all photos are opened before input. If you have hundreds of photos it is an incredible waste of time.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Middleton plantation is an amazing place, beautiful gardens and water views. Boone Hall is another if you are interested in great landscapes. Brown Dog Deli at 40 broad st. Is a must, they only serve lunch, but you would not be disappointed.

Take a look at the Dakine DSLR camera bag at backcountry.com. I'be had it for a while and really like the size. It easily holds my D7100 with 300 mm zoom and two other lenses. Also expandable . Very compact. Not pricey, but well made. And padded.

Thanks for the input and assistance. I contacted Honestech (their support email says it is Vidbox), but in any case they seem certain that their device and software will read the Panasonic DVD's. So I will purchase the product and keep my fingers crossed.

Again thanks for the help. I tried every query I could think of relating to my issue and never found Honestech.........

I believe this falls into non-photography chit-chat.........

I have many movies that i had recorded on a Panasonic DVD recorder years ago. They obviously played back in the original recorder, but that is no longer an option and they appear to be in a proprietary format that will not read anywhere else. Does anyone know of any service that can convert the DVD's. any information would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
Ralph

Thanks for all the helpful comments; greatly appreciated! I think my best course of action is to rent a lens for a few days and make comparative tests.

Has anyone had any experience with this lens and a Nikon D7100. I currently use a 35MM 1.8 Nikon lens and a Tokina 11-24 2.8 wide angle lens, along with Nikon zoom kit lenses.
I primarily shoot landscape and am not disappointed with the current lenses. However I have seen some very good reviews on the Sigma lens. Would I gain any quality by using the Sigma over what I currently use?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
