Thank you about the leading lines, I saw that and was trying to figure out how to best converge the sky and the pier, all while the light was changing so quickly.

My first post. Trying to learn some landscape.
I am a retired flight attendant for a major airline and know all to well the issues with carry on luggage. I now work for an organization in Japan as a staff photographer and writer. Frequent international flying and lots of trains is once again back in my life. Think Tank makes the Airport Essentials. Never a problem with that bag, love it. I pack it with 2 full frame bodies with grips, the "trinity" of lenses, flash and 1 or 2 other lenses. I did purchase the optional shorter dividers which is much better. You can better utilize the space and I can put my small Wacom on top with external hard drive, card reader and a few other essentials. In the front sleeve is my laptop. Tripod is in my checked luggage. All fits easily in overhead bin or under the seat.
Also to consider is the Pink Jeep Tours. I took it and it was great. I do not know if they operate year round, but check into them. Easy to park your car where they are located and no hassles. No crowds with them. There is also the film you can see right at the Pink Jeep Tours. It is amazing documentary of the Grand Canyon and its history. Definitely a must see .
If you are headed up the coast to San Francisco a stop in San Simeon and that area is a must. This is where the elephant seals are located. So much to photograph.
I have been enjoying a cup of coffee and reading this forum daily for about 2 years and now finally introducing myself. It is amazing how much I have learned on this forum and continue to do so. I love doing portraits, landscape and lots of travel photography (I am a retired Flight Attendant for a major airline). I look forward to keep on learning and enjoy the passion I have for photography.
