OK, this may seem silly but apparently airlines are requiring passengers boarding with cameras to have caps (the ones that initially come with your battery) covering the terminals/contacts of Lithium Ion batteries.
I'm going to Florida in February so I need some. I found 1 and I need 3 more for the 3 extra batteries I have.
Also, I might as well try to get some for my Nikon D5300. EN-EL 14 (14a)

Does anyone know of a source where I can get some, or, are willing to part with some you have?

Now that I let the cat out of the bag I probably won't get any so I'll have to dig deeper into my mess.

This message will probably be moved by Admin into Classifieds and that's OK, except that I'm also asking for a source.
Thanks!

So I'm shooting a Soccer Game, (officially to boot) and my D750 froze up. Couldn't do a thing, nothing was working (freshly charged bats) yet I could see some info on the top screen. I was using a Nikon 70-200 VRII with a Nikon 2.0 TC. at the time. Which I've used many times prior with no problems. Remedy.... removed the camera battery (not the MD bat) shoved it back in and all was good again. Anyone else have this happen?

Thanks,
Doug

I currently have a D2X and a D200. Considering adding an FX format just for the sake of updating my really old technology and having the full frame format.

I currently have several older Nikon lenses such as the 18-200, 80-400, 18-55, 60m macro and a couple Sigma zooms including latest 150-600.

I am trying to decide if I want to go with a very nice D3 for about $1000 or a D610 for about $1500. I know the build quality doesn't compare, but I am wondering which one will actually produce the best overall shots for several years to come? The 610 has the advantage of 6 years of technology and 24mp compared to 12. The D3 is in a class of its own.

I have read hundreds of reviews on the D3, D610, D700, D750, D810 and the other lower priced versions such as 7100, so I am aware they are out there, but reading "about" and actually "using" are very different things.

I am a serious amateur at best and go through spells of taking many pictures and other times taking very few. I take shots any/everything including family, birds, landscape. Minimum sports. Had numerous Nikons over the last 46 years, so don't intend to change to Canon at this point in life.

I get a little upset with the raw converter problem with each new camera. I bought a Nikon D610. I upgraded to Elements 12 thinking it would handle raw conversion. My computers are running Vista. The disc with the camera for view nx won't load. Dnc converters won't work. The upgraded raw converter 8.3 that will work for D610 Raw doesn't run. It appears I need to get Windows 10 OS to get this to work. Does anyone know for sure if I can get some software that will work with Vista.

I had the same problem when I got my Nikon Df at the begining of summer. I was running vista and I could not read raw files with lightroom 4 or elements 12. tryed to download a dng converter and it would not run in vista, my machine could not be upgraded so I had to buy a new computer for the Df. now I have a computer just for pictures only.

I had to by a new computer to support my new Df NEF files. I needed a windows 7 or better. My computer would not support a opperating systom upgrade,

I do not let any program down load my images, I move the folders by hand and rename by date and camera. 2015-10-23D70, 2015-10-23D200, ect. After editing I replace the DSC with the year taken 2015_XXXXX, having added four bodies over the years the chance of having over lapping image numbers in the same year is slim, but if so add a -1, 2015_XXXXX-1. I did this system with our first computer, when my wife and I shared the one machine and two cameras. It has worked for us for almost 20 years of digital shooting.
