I love seeing your variety of little song birds. So much color.

I agree. As dramatic as the first crop is, the full version with those wings is fantastic.

Please pay attention to how you attach the lead to your line..
Sincerely,
Sea Creatures

Because this was at the shoreline and the fillament is heavy duty I'm pretty sure this poor cormorant swallowed a hefty lure with treble hooks. There is no surviving this. And it won't be quick.

I was using my Canon 100-400 II at 400 with a 1.4TC. (560mm)

I've attached a screen shot to show what a lucky grab it was; he almost flew out of the frame before I could react! lol.

1600 @ f8, AUTO ISO 2000. I keep my camera in High Speed Continuous and was able to get off 4 shots before he was gone into another bank willow. #308 was the keeper.

Ty you for the info. You did a terrific job in PP with this. Those rascals are fast when they decide to move.

Another factor to consider is wether or not you are using an extended center column. If this is the case retract it completely or remove it altogether if possible. In a good wind there is too much play

I’m really enjoying your photographs grandpaw. The downloads are great and your birds are so different from what I find here in Rhode Island.

Thanks. There is no access on the 21 in. The 27in has an access door on the back.

Thanks. I’m leaning toward Crucial. Gets mostly positive reviews and reasonably priced.

I used crucial to increase my ram from 8 to 32(the max my older iMac will allow). No problem for years. It was surprised to hear that you have access to the memory module on the newer models. I thought they did away with that and you had to order it with what you wanted installed.
