I was hiking a nearby nature trail when I spotted a mom and her fawn about 100 feet in front of me. I stood still and all of a sudden the fawn broke away from the mom and ran straight at me and stopped about 4 inches from my feet. It looked into my eyes and bolted back to the doe who did not seem distressed at all about our encounter. The fawn continued to stare at me until the mom decided it was time for them to veer off into the woods. A truly magical moment in my life ! Thank you for looking and for your nice comments !

I shoot with your camera lens combo a lot, and love it. With such a high shutter speed, at f/8, I'm wonder what ISO your camera selected. It must have been very high, and yet I notice no objectionable noise in your photo. That's quite impressive.

In all honesty I did use noise reduction software and re-sharpened a touch before posting. It wasn't too bad but I felt it needed a little tweaking.

That's really a WOW shot...beautiful sharp focus, wing stopping image...very impressive. What was your shutter speed, and did you use flash to stop the wing blur?

Thank you very much ! I used a Canon 7D Mark ll with the Canon 100-400 version ll and a 1.4 extender. I shot in shutter priority at 1 /8000...Auto ISO... and F 8. I did not use flash but the lighting was excellent at around 10:30 AM. Thank you for asking !

I can see a square / rectangular shape to the possible structure. I don't see it as a crater within a crater. Not round enough in my opinion. I keep an open mind and there is much compelling research available as to certain anomalies and their possible origins on the Moon and Mars.

Multiple subs, at least 10-15, align and stack them to begin with...

Then do some serious postprocessing in Lightroom or Photoshop.

You can shoot the Milky Way in a single image but postprocessing becomes considerably harder due to image noise, i.e.: you can't stretch the image as far to really pop the colors and brightness.

The image below was processed from a multi-sub imaging session. I think it was probably 16x30sec. @ ISO 1600.

Hi Thomas. Good start.
Your focus looks a little off but i am viewing from mobile phone.
You could try dropping your F stop a click or 2, also your iso.
One last thing i suggest is a series of 20s frames.
Then stack them in dss.
You may have to reframe the shot after two or so frames. Marc

Thank you Marc ! I'm not sure how to get a series of 20 second frames due to the earth's rotation. How do I reframe and be sure I'm in the same spot . That would provide the best image for sure. Thanks again !

I thought I did everything right but the photo shows there is much room for improvement ! I used a Canon 5D mark lll with the Canon 24-70 ll. I used the following settings : F 2.8.....ISO 2000.....and SS 20 seconds. I shot in manual focused to infinity and of course with a tripod and remote. It was a moonless night and it seemed more than far enough away from any light pollution. Is there a better combination of settings to make the stars less pronounced and more natural looking. I greatly appreciate all the guidance and feedback I can get from the astronomical shooters ! By the way I realize the wires are in the photo but I won't make that mistake again !
