It appears things are much worse in China than I thought. WOW thanks for sharing.

If you do a little research on the MY PILLOW salesman/owner he was a thug at one time....drugs, just a lot of bad things. Looks like this pillow gig has helped him turn his life in a different direction....I agree...he/his company spends way too much money on advertising...thus expensive pillows. Just my humble opinion.

Don't panic yet...the political ads are going to get worse before they get better. November is just down the calendar a few months. Just wait....we'll be bombarded with vote yes on this or vote no on that. I'm the best for the political position than my opponent and so on. The good news is...I personally record most of my TV shows and watch them after they air which allows me to fast forward thru all the ads/commercials. It's when I watch the news I get sick and tired of hearing the same promo for the same candidate over and over again. The good news is...my TV has a mute button. I use it a lot during political season. I feel your pain.

Jerry, I too grew up listening to those songs. You should tune into Sirius XM, 50's on 5. They play that record as well as all 50's music on that channel. Sirius breaks down the music in eras, 50's, 60's, etc. I'm still of fan of the "oldies" and that is what I listen to almost exclusively. Still fun to hear once in a while. Thanks for sharing.

That is horrible news....After reading that you just purchase this printer I started looking into getting one for myself. Now after reading this news, not so much. Is it the model or could you have gotten a lemon? When I upgrade to Windows 10 there were no drivers for my photo inkjet. I went round and round with HP and they could get it to work either. So I've been in the market for a replacement photo quality printer that I don't have to refinance my house to buy it or make color photos. I don't need an all in one, but would like to put out a nice color print from time to time. I'm not a heavy photo printer, but miss my photo inkjet for the occasional color photo. I have B&W laser printer and an all in one color printer, but in my opinion the all in one just doesn't cut the mustard for a photo. So I hope you keep us/me posted on your findings. Thanks in advance for any updates.

Jerry I feel your pain too. I tried to find a replacement accounting package for Quicken too without much luck. If you can find a Quicken 2012 version, it works with windows 10....well at least it worked for us. My wife and I have version 2012 on our windows 10 PC's. However, we share the data across our network. So the only downside is we both can't work on our accounts at the same time. It has happened I needed to work on Quicken and so did she. One of us just has to wait until the other is finished, but in nearly a year since we upgraded to window 10 it has worked flawlessly. If you find a decent replacement that I don't have to sell one of my grand kids, let us/me know. I sure would be interested in finding an inexpensive replacement.

Great shots. Where you on a whale watching boat or from land. Years ago I was their in Dec. and got some great shots from the balcony of the villa we stayed at. I've been back several times since, but not in Dec. and haven't been so lucky. Thanks for sharing

That is a very clever poem. I hope you don't mind, but I've copied and pasted it into an email and sent it to all my friend that don't subscribe to this website. Thanks for sharing.

I have a photo very near like the one you have posted. A beautiful part of the world. If you're still there vacationing in Bora Bora...I'd highly recommend finding a place where you can do a "Helmet" dive. I'm pretty certain when I was there (hard to believe nearly 20 years ago) but there was an excursion we did off the cruise ship that offered a helmet dives. We bought a cheap underwater camera and had a blast shooting in about 20 feet below the surface with hundreds of fish. You are tethered via an oxygen hose so you can only walk on the bottom in an area of about 30 to 35 feet from where you enter the water. You're underwater about 20 twenty minutes or so and well worth the expense. I think that was one of the highlights of the trip. Have fun. I found this area to be one of my favorite places to shoot. Although it has been years since I was there, it was and still is one of my favorites that stick out in my mind. Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

I did this upgrade/trade about 4.5 years ago and I traded my D610 at Samy's Camera for the D750. I felt they were very fair. They are an authorized Nikon dealer.

I had the same issue. I heard the spotting was fixed in the D610....not so much. Within a few months, spots. I traded it off for the D750 and never looked back. The D750 has been the best camera for my needs so far and top it off, I haven't had any GAS to replace it......yet

I've used Shutterfly several times to make photo-books, mostly as a gift for a special occasion that I've shot, i.e. 50th Wedding Anniversary, 100th birthday, etc. I shoot raw and edit in Photoshop and convert to jpeg once I'm done with the edits. When I upload my photos they are all jpeg photos and usually full size after I edit them meaning they are anywhere from 8-12mg to 20mg if not more. The down side to that is it does take a few minutes longer to upload, but not a big deal. The time of upload is mostly dependent on how many photos I'm uploading. A small album just a few minutes. If it is a large album it may take several minutes (4 or 5 minutes) but again not a big deal. I have two choices now that the photos are on Shutterfly, one I can then share these photos with others via an online link or choice two is I can make a photo-book or calendar or other personalized items. I've never had an issue using larger files as I've mentioned with Shutterfly. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to PM....I'll be more than happy to help.

There is a website that someone shared on this site several years ago that I "bookmarked" on all my devices. The site is called "www.ShotHotSpot.com". Once you open up the site just put in the country, city, town, etc. and it tells the great spots for photos of points of interests, sunsets, landscapes, etc. I haven't used it in a while but I remember that there are filters for the best sunset or the most popular points of interest. Not only have I bookmarked it on my computer devices, I have it on my mobile phone too. It's not perfect, but sure gives you a direction. Have fun on your vacation. Let us all know if you used the site and did it work for you. Just for giggles I put in Oslo and it came up with tons of places to shoot.

Welcome to the forum. We have something in common. I live in a 55 and older community and my wife is a line dance instructor here at our community. So I too, shoot lots of dancers. Not much video any longer, just stills. I shoot with a Nikon D750 with an SB910 strobe. My tip to you that seems to work for me most of the time is a crank up my ISO to 500 or so and shoot at 125 with an "F" stop 6.3 to 7.1. That gives me some decent depth of field and lights the room pretty well to capture most of the dancers on the floor. I hope that this little tip points you in a direction that you achieve the photos you are look to shoot. Good luck and have fun

I have to admit, I've never been to that part of Oahu so I can't attest to how many Albatross you actually saw. However, I was stationed from 11-66 to 11-67 at Naval Support Activity Midway Island as a SeaBee. I have to admit, I've never seen that many birds in one small island in my lifetime. You'd look across the field toward the airstrip and you'd see hundreds if not thousands of Albatross. We called them "Goony Birds". The island during matting season was covered with Goony birds. Every where you were they were nesting. They were beautiful in flight, however their landing not so much. It looked like they crashed landed every time they'd land. Their take off was almost like an airplane as they'd flap their wings and start running until the had some speed and then take off. I was fascinated when I first got there, but after a few months they sure can be annoying. These photos sure brought me back some 50 plus years. Thanks for the memories.
